I also think that many western boys just don't look good as girls due to their physical siZe.
The petite Asians have a real advatage here to appear more feminine and thus more socially accepted.
There are exceptions in the west - but they are just that - exceptions.

In the West we take sexual identity far too seriously. In addition (and to make matters worse) we insist on a generic label for 'certain types' so we can either approve or disapprove and legislate for or against...

There are as many sexual preferences and identities as there are people on the planet.

What makes life easier for Asians (especially in Thailand) is that the social and political extremes of abuse are absent. There are two reasons for this... Firstly, Asian society is nearly all 'non macho', unlike the west. Secondly the difference between men and women physically is frankly, not much... meaning that men can play the part of women without looking ridiculous.

My view is they are real Ladyboys, but then again, wot about the poor fuckers that cant afford full SRS

Other than the rare academic, in the Philippines the ladyboys refer to themselves as gays. The ubiquitous Miss Gay pageants shout this brand loud and wide.

It would certainly be politically advantageous for the lbs there to press for acceptance of their gender expression (which is the issue that keeps them out of most places of employment) rather than their sexuality.

(Note that gays are quite successful among the professional ranks as they dress according to gender stereotypes.)

Anyway, in way of agreement with the posters above, most lbs in PI don't seem to care if they're gay or girls inside, or what percentage of each they might be. For many, what determines if they live as a lb or not, is how pretty they are. Many go back to dressing as men in their later 20's or they stop much earlier if they are mocked for their unsuitable looks.

oh, and it's worth adding, that I've only ever met one PI lb, out of about 100, who wants SRS. Almost all of them want to keep the fun bits. The western activists perceptions about the 'TRANSITION' is way out of step with the reality there.

I've heard from some PI LBs that there is a split/animosity/rivalry between gays and LBs in PI. i.e that they see themselves as different. Is that so in your experience ?

Well they don't seem to frequent together, though sometimes the ex-lbs who have gone back to male gender dressing spend time with them.

An ex told me that when she decided to be a lb her gay friends stopped associating with her and she only spent time with other lbs after that. Also have heard some say gays are jealous of them at times, so you might be right about some kind of rivalry.

Seems there is a categorical difference in their minds, though they use the same term gay for themselves.

Interestingly I've met some gays who refer to themselves as bisexuals, though they don't seem interested in women. Perhaps in their eyes, that means halfway between straight and being a lb.

A whole other way to know is whether they *don't* take any hormones and they are say 21 or 22.....they will tell you no because they want to be able to get hard or don't like the feelings, etc.....but again, this screams gay boy all the way.

     Some more ways to tell; slight hair growth on the lower legs and forearms, slightly-unshaven armpits, a six-pack look on the abs section, perhaps slightly larger biceps and shoulder muscles, NO boob growth at all and again, the fact they aren't taking hormones...all the things I just mentioned wouldn't be there were the girl on hormones. Real ladyboys would have none of them and would {usually} be on hormones until age 23 or 24 or so, and by that age would surely have boobs and other surgery's done to them.  

   Please see what I said in my original post; to me it matters not a bit if they are like this and in fact some of my more favorite conquests over the years were just boys with wigs or long hair working as ladies to make a buck, and I even had 2 last week.  Guys like myself and Kahuna and TT and many, many  others who read here gravitate towards smaller femmy-boy types with small tits, so we have to be expected to run into a few like this and again, it's fine with me.  It matters to me only what she looks and acts like TONIGHT, not 5 years from now or 5 years before now.

Not devil's kids, just plain weird.......but I keep forgetting, you are the expert on them because you knew one once and held her hand for a few months during surgery and she could cum like a screaming banshee for a few months afterward; I have only known 50 or more so how could I possibly know anything about these people??
