Open is questionable
but they are supposed to be dry.
Election is this weekend, and no booze saturday or Sunday, Feb 5-6.
If I find out anything more I will post it.

Snick is right on election night, I cant recall if it is for the entire weekend but I dont think so, no booze is supposed to be served or sold.

And given past history the police are very strong on this with very large fines - under the table of above it - for those breaking this law.

It is usually the night for parties and quiet nights with someone at home.

from my experience in phuket one election weekend, mostly all the bars were shut on the bangla road and the bars that were open , strictly no booze. never again

The last time i was there for election(last Aug i think) all the Patpong bars were open but no booze sold. But Cascades was selling Beer all the time. All the ladyboys were working

Cascade will "probably" be closed on saturday, and open on Sunday.
This according to the Mamasan, but even she wasn't 100% sure of what was going on.
