Low Season "Help Me" Texts...

So it appears Low Season has finally hit.

The first text arrived today for me

"Hi. I am     can u call to me? i want u help me. Now my mama die can u help me? Can you call me im in    now. Hope you can call to me xxx"

Not bad for someone I have only been with twice, and have known for maybe just 3 days....

A sign of desperate times - this low season may be worse than when the airport closed. Thailand has been blacklisted as a tourist destination by HK, Japan, China and several other counties as long as the demonstrations are on-going. Some travel insurance companies will not honor policies now that "terrorism" is being broadcast on the news.

This has severely reduced the tourists numbers.

That sounds more like what one can expect from some PI Lbs. But that's not seasonal  

I heard that about Insurance rx, but haven't checked locally as to whether that applies here.

Would be interesting to hear from those on the ground over there as to whether the numbers really are down these days..

On that note, I did get a call last week asking me to sponsor her Visa, to come and live in my house, and of course I would pay for her 'studies' and everything else...

More like 'business as usual' rather than a sign of the times

I had a sms yesterday from a GG I met on my first trip to    back in July 2001.

This particular girl I met in Patpong working in Rififfi's Bar and she a mute and slightly deaf girl.

This romance lasted two years before the greedy mother drove me mad and I had to abandon this poor girl.  

However she would keep relenting on texting until 2007 and mainly when I was due to arrive back in the LOS, do these girls have a 6th sense or something  

So it was kinda weird receiving this sms after 3 years without one, especially when I am due in BKK in a few weeks

Now that is heartless , a lot of bad karma will come back with that one , lets hope it was her mamasan she referred to  

Why not play them at their own game  

Every time you get a begging text send one back, that is sure to confuse .

Example - "Hi teelak my car tax finish now , cannot afford to drive airport to see you please send me £200 "

Or - "Now my mama stay nursing home but she lose all her money playing bingo , can you help me ? "

Or - " Tonight I go bar but bad beer monkey empty my wallet and give me hangover now I not know what to do "

Or - "Gordon Brown him bad man , him tax me mak mak make me pay for everything even my pom pui neighbour who sit on his ass all day and wear a tracksuit , please send me £100 to buy clothes and strong lager for my neighbour "

The list could be endless ..........
