Phuket ladyboy kills Italian tourist!

AN ITALIAN tourist has been killed by a bottle-swinging ladyboy in a wild disturbance on Soi Paradise.

The killing took place at 5.30am on Saturday morning, 17th April 2010, more than three hours after Patong's bars are supposed to close... naughty naughty!

Cops said the Italian idiot, named as Simone Tene Riello, 28, wandered around the renowned heartland of Patong's red light district, close to the Royal Paradise Resort, punching complete strangers.

Unfortunately for him when he hit ladyboy Sathid Boonnuchit, 34, outside one of the soi's gay bars, he provoked a reaction he did not anticipate. The Italian punched the katoey twice, then Khun Sathid smashed a beer bottle over the head of Mr Riello, according to Colonel Jakapong Luang-On of Kathu police station.

Mr Riello was treated in Patong Hospital for head injuries then sent on about 9am to Vachira Hospital for better treatment. He died there about 10.30am yesterday.

Khun Sathid was arrested yesterday and asked for bail but her paperwork was incomplete so she is being held at the Phuket Provincial Court jailhouse on a charge of murder.

Mr Riello's body is now at Vachira Hospital. Colonel Jakapong said it appeared the man had no friends on Phuket...

These bloody stupid tourists just never learn!

This is a tragedy on every level.

A ladyboy gets attacked by a nutcase running amok at 5am & her life is ruined forever.

I am not excusing her for killing this guy but if he wasn't so whacked out on whatever, she could have gone about her business without being punched twice.

This guy lost the plot & paid the price. But in defending herself or maybe in reacting to his unprovoked attack, she will now be locked up to placate the cries for justice.

I wasn't there, I don't know how far she over-reacted, but I do know that no one needs a crazed tourist running around at 5am asking for trouble.

Based on this version of the story, I feel more sympathy for the LB than for Simone Tene Riello.

But of course, all LBs are evil creatures who are just waiting to kill innocent tourists, or so the popular myth goes.

Does anyone know who this girl is? I hope she gets whatever justice is her due.

On the one hand I feel sorry for that young chap, as it is a high price to pay for perhaps behaving out of control this one time, but then we do not know that ...

I also assume that the lb did not intend to kill the guy but then 5.30 am is a time when people probably react differently than during more normal hours - I know that many will say now that 5.30 is a perfectly normal time for them, but I guess u all know what I mean. If she has no prior history of violent behavior, I hope that this one will not ruin her life.

Personally, I have to say that my most weird encounters here in Pattaya I had with foreigners who were either drunk or showed strange behavior otherwise. Being in a foreign country, a lot of those tourists have little respect for, considering it's existence basically to cater to any of their pleasure-seeking needs, cheap booze and perhaps being frustrated by having been rejected by a girl earlier that night, they think they can get away with anything. Just wish that some of the strangers he had punched earlier had punched him out before.

However, unless there is sth that has not been told, this does not fall under the "beware of lbs, they are dangerous" category ...

Being responsible for the death of another person isn't something
you'd find easy to live with.

I am all for the girls defending themselves when its needed but
you just don't round smashing bottles over peoples heads..

All in all its a very sorry tale, a young guy goes from being an idiot

her own business (presumed) to being a killer..Sad all round

its a shame the idiot died, its also a real shame the lb will serve life if found guilty of murder with the intent to kill.
But does suprise me that with the falang owners of bar all around there didnt call on there security to have this jerk removed from the area. he prob still would of ended up kicked to a pulp around the corner in some dark ally but someone will now have there life ruined because of him. not saying she should hit out on folk with bottles, but this guys actions was out of order.
now he leaves behind a lot of misery on both sides of the globe.

If it were in Ireland or the UK, she would be charged with manslaughter and get a suspended sentence taking this guys actions beforehand into consideration. It all just goes to show that the human body can be fragile and one knock to the wrong place of the head can result in death.

He should have at least barfined her, then had a fight in the hotel room--with a grand finale of jumping off the balcony.
