It costs big money to turn a ladyboy into a lady. Even to afford their hormone regime is expensive on Thai wages.
Unless they have a wealthy family or a sponsor, they are pre-ops. There are certainly posties in the cabaret shows but the young ones are more likely to be "intact".
It is one of the major motivators to switch to P4P, it can allow a smart LB to save for her operation.
Sleeping with farangs is a hell of a way to achieve your dream & it is a credit to their resolve that so many manage to do it.
I will leave it for RX to estimate what percentage are pre & post-ops.Despite the high cost of living, it continues to be popular.Comment

GDS, I have wondered about the % of postops vs preops in the cabaret show. I asked my friend Nam (who is preop) from Alcazar and she estimated it was around 70-80% preop vs 20-30% postop.
Pilos - sorry I wouldn't know that photo was taken back in 2004 and I did not ask the names of the showgirls. Perhaps another board member can ID her.
Batman4ever - * I don't think I will come remotely close to 5000 postops!

Now moving back to 2003 - the Simon Cabaret groups - most everyone knows about the Phuket Simon Cabaret - but did you know they had one in Chiang Mai and the first one was in Pattaya? Which is now the Simon Beer Bar Complex on Walking Street. Unfortunately I don't have any digital photos from the Pattaya Simon Cabaret.
First off is the biggest of the Simon Cabarets in Phuket. Keep in mind these are from 2003.

Ok, I have some Simon Chiang Mai Cabaret photos from 2003 and 2006. *The cabaret was closed in July 2007 due to lack of business. A shame as some of the most beautiful lbs come from Chiang Mai.

Some good memories Rxpharm...I visited Simon Cabaret in Chiang Mai some time back...
I was in the company of one its former dancers so I was introduced to the lovely cast...
It was relatively empty during the show that I saw...So its closing was not a great surprise...
A strange theater but a very good show...

Kahuna, I'm glad those photos brought back a good memory of your Chiang Mai visit. Yes, the theatre had a strange design, semi-outdoors, which I suppose was less expensive to build.
A few of the early ATS stars also came from there, Ponlien comes to mind as well as a few others.

The first two are from 2003 and the last is the beginning of 2006 photos - the year before it was closed.
