Last night was at Pook Swan and there was a ladyboy that I knew slightly from Cat's Place. She was hungry and pointed to the food cart. I gave her 40 baht which covered her eats with some change left over.

She was thrilled and called me over as we left to give me a kiss. A free meal is always appreciated.

Re ladydrinks, the first one is a icebreaker and the social protocol but the girls would rather have one ladydrink and a 100 baht tip than two ladydrinks.

Also if there's a girl in the bar that's a friend it's best to ask her for the bin and whatever tip you were going to leave in the folder, instead put in her hand so she (probably) gets to keep it.

I always ask them if they want a drink or some money for their supper or something,they can make up their own minds then,if they need to make up drinks quotas or not.I wouldn't think they get too much commission on a drink.Never ever had a problem with asking them.

since when? Yes, if she sits with me and paws at me and such or I paw at her I would give her a 100. but sometimes girl looks slow or hungry or i know her from before i might slip her 20-50 baht depending.

if a girl is ungrateful you give her 30 baht, there's something wrong. UNLESS you mean if she sat with you and made you happy somehow.

So, in conclusion, there's no reason to run around tipping 100 baht for nothing.

And I agree with the poster who said 1 LD and then a tip versus 2 LDs. I don't think we need to cheap charlie the bar but not be LDOPs either.

If you tip 30 baht (INSTEAD of a lady drink) you are not going to have much company in the bar (this time, or on the next visit).  That reputation spreads amongst the girls. (I have to say, to my own detriment, so does the reputation of those who are overgenerous).  One bar has a 'Wall of Shame' for the cheap charlies.

Quite correct, Kahuna, it is our money and we can spend it how we want.  Sometimes I give a girl 40/50 baht if she asks for food money, but I probably give a drink and 100 baht if they have been sitting with me for some time.   They don't mind putting in the time with a customer who they think will barfine them.   But someties, if I know I'm NOT that night, I tell them up front.  So they can deide whether to go off in search of more rewardng wallets.

In Obsessions Pattaya the other day, I tipped two cabaret girls 100 baht each, one of whom was sitting with a fellow BM. They had just finished one of the best cabaret acts I've seen.   But I tipped another girl 40 baht (from the change in my bin)..... I had already bought her a drink.  She gave me the 40 baht back and said 'you give me 100'.  I put the 40 baht back in my wallet, and walked away.  So she lost face twice - which of course is another factor in this tipping game.

Finally, I know some BMs who would never tip.  Why would you? they ask.  Better not to tip at all than give 30 baht, probably.
