New (but old) guy looking for guidance!

Hi everyone.  This is my cherry post. I am early 60s and will be in Patts mid January looking for LB fun. Anyone of my vintage willing to meet up and share a few beers and a few tips?

Seriously though, plenty of guys here in their 60s & 70s, and they all have a great time in Thailand.

Actually some of them appear to have alot more energy than me, and I've just turned 41.

The cliche' "Age ain't nothing but a number" sums things up pretty well.

If you provide some dates and detals, there are usually a few guys happy enough to catch up for a beer and a chat.

There are a few BM's who spring to mind (Old Barstewards) but if you are a newbie I am not sure you could not keep up......

I am only 21 but i cannot keep up with them....but honest i do try.

Read the Board find out where everyone goes and just introduce yourself...I am sure you will meet up with some legends such as Kahuna, BB, Rossco, Karl, Lefty and many many others.....Good luck and have a good trip.

Yes, Lefty and BB (BurenBoy or BumbleBee or BananaBastard or whatever he goes by today) would be excellent resources if they are around town when you are. I'm sure the others Tims Boy mentioned are too.

Hi Paulie - I'm an old guy also and would love to "show you the ropes", however my next trip is not till February. I've been into ladyboys for about 4 years now and must have had sex with around 50 LB's and femboys mainly in Pattaya but also Bangkok (rough estimate of course as I dont keep the score). If you are worried about a bad experience I can tell you that I have only had one and looking back that now seems more fun than anything.
I have never had anyone "show me the ropes". Its easy really. Just go to one of the established LB venues described in detail on this site and have a drink and RELAX. You will be approached. Have a chat and buy them a drink, but there is no obligation to go further. Perhaps leave and go back later. Just do as you please. If you are worried about embarassment use the bar's short time room. LB's are not expensive in Thailand so if you end up not enjoying it you have not lost much.

I'd second Soi8dave's comments Paulie. You may not have someone meeting your exact spec's who will reply to this thread, but if you simply RTTF (that's forum speak for "read the xxxxxxx forum" - you'll see reference to it again I'm sure!) you'll get TONS of information, and by replying to the threads you'll eventually start to make connections with some of the BM's. Positive connections and negative connections. From there you'll be given plenty of options regarding meeting up when you hit LOS. I'd suggest reading the newbie thread from beginning to end, then read the pinned trip reports to get an idea how others have handled their first trip.

Asking for advice around here is like drinking from a firehose - you'll get WAY MORE than you need.

Paulie, I too am 58 and planning my first trip to Bangkok this February. Like you, I am (first time) nervous and have asked for BM assistance getting to know the ropes around NEP. So far some have been generous however in the end we just need to get out there and relax. I believe what the other BMs are advising us is good advice. Read the trip reports and other newbie threads and this should help a lot. I wish you the best.

wow i never whould have thought so many new guys out their. i am 41 never been to thailand but my first trip is in february. bkk the 18th head to pattaya on the 20th and then over to phuket on the 26th. and i have always loved ladyboys videos photos and cam shows but have never been with one yet.!!!!!!!!!!!! if any bm's want to have a beer just pm me. thank you guys tom
