    Rembrandt hotel

    Planning my next trip to BKK and am thinking of changing from the Landmark and Marriott. I remember someone speaking very highly of the Rembrandt Hotel, but I couldn't find the post. I even think that they posted some pics. Any comments would be appreciated.

    The Rembrandt Hotel is on Soi 18 (Sukhumvit.) It's a modern 26-story European looking hotel, located near the main commercial, shopping & entertainment areas. It's got about 400 rooms.

    The room rates start at $80 and go up to about $130 (US) I have seen some online revies and they are all positive. Whether or not they are 'guest friendly' I have no idea.

    (Actually you can get a single on line for less than 2,500 - I just checked!)

      Bkk tonight says that it isn`t guest friendly so I guess I`m mixed up. But I remember someone on the board recommending a hotel with large screen TV, LB friendly and even posted some pics...or a link to his own trip report page. Do you remember what I`m talking about or am I hallucinating?

        Well there is a 42" plasma TV in the President Solitaire and it is definitely guest friendly.

            Yes ! Rambrandnt is kinda good ! very close to my office ! ..hehe , maybe I can meet you after I finish working ! ..And...there is great indian foods down there !
