Not all of them are currently on staff. Sam is going to select those that he wants as permanent staff when he next visits. Many prefer the flexibility of coming and going as they please.

The following isn't a joke!!! La Bamba Bar is Closed!!!

On Friday night LA BAMBA was raided by police. They found nothing wrong except something irregular with the liquor license....seems "there are too many ladyboys working" was one of the things wrong, another was the bar needed "a bigger paper"

So...Saturday afternoon our cashier and lawyer were in City Hall trying to sort things out. In the meantime bar is closed until Monday.

Everyone in town Saturday and Sunday night for the Kwang Birthday Bash and general festive goings on, La Bamba and all the La Bamba girls are holding court across the soi in The Legless Arms Bar.

How the hell is Thailand ever going to attract the foreigh investment it needs until they can guarantee the rule of law?

This is such a blatant attempt to extort a bribe from a farang bar owner, & it's not just Pattaya, they have to put up with it in Phuket & anywhere the authorities think they have a soft target.

Take this all the way up the chain you can Sam, it is only when they know they have to be wary of someone that there is any chance they will leave you alone.

To line their own pockets, these corrupt bastards stuff everything up for their own people who rely on these establishments for a living.

As if they give a damn ! A pox on them all !

Shit!....Sounds like they were looking for some bribe money. Didn't they do that to Franck on the 2nd day he was open and hit him up for 80,000 baht.

All is well.
The party for Kwang was a great success in the temporary venue - The Legless Arms. Big thanks to Peter for giving us an alternate venue. As he said he has a "ringside" seat of La Bamba so was happy to oblige.

The "raid" resulted in 7 bars in Soi Yamoto (13.1) and 10 bars in Soi Post Office (13.2) having their license suspended.

Even though a license lawyer was used to obtain the original liquor/entertainment license it appears it is not 100% correct. The manager, cashier and lawyer will be meeting City officials on Monday at 10.00am.

Apparently there is no problem obtaining a correct 100% bona fide license but TIT.
