May I suggest a lightweight summer suit, [no loud colours], open neck linen shirt, [tie not necessary but silk, Italian if you wish]          

Gucci loafers, [sans socks] a pleasant tropical after shave, and a great big fat wallet, stuffed with high-denomination notes.

Your stay will prove to be much more pleasant.          

If you can't meet the new standards through one reason or another, then let me know & I'll see what I can do .....

I hope this is a step in the right direction for this bar.  I used to love 131 and the early La Bamba but IMO it went down hill lately.

The quality of the girls was really bad in mid-May.  It almost looked like the hiring process was like this:

- unattractive - check
- rude - check
- greedy - check
- no or very limited english - check

==> Welcome you're hired at La Bamba.

Alis has been a favorite of mine for a long time, but I think she has changed for the worse.  Not sure what happend, maybe it's the extra responsibility that changed her?

The overall mood in the bar was almost depressing.  Maybe it was the low-season and lack of customers that ruined the atmosphere?  

I hope they get some better talent and return to the happy easygoing bar it used to be. It's kind of sad when you want to spend you cash in a bar but you almost feel you're not welcome since you don't like to be groped by fugly LB's.

Oh well, I have not given up and will check back in August

To the guy asking about Nicky: I can confirm she has a boyfriend and does not (officially) go with customer. She seemed very happy and looks hotter than ever.

Sam was recently in Pattaya & he mentioned that the Thai mentality had taken over the hiring process & is doing something about it.

I can't make any announcement for him but I will say this :

"Sam, get some babes on board asap"

There are some sweethearts there but the reinforcements are on the way.

Yep the bar went through a weird patch.

The lame barman was off putting and screwed up so many times - the problem was that he was 'linked' to the cashier. Anyhow all is now well. When I visited Alis was in attendance with Cindy.
The line up is changing but when last I visited there was:

Alis
Janny
Kwang
Chin
Nom or Nam
Cindy - my favourite
Oh
Ice
and a few others.
I still enjoy the atmosphere as it is not too noisy (music wise) and relaxing to have a drink.

If you have complaints or problems just talk to Alis - she is learning to manage.

It is Alis's birthday on 30th June and a party is planned, according to the cashier, to celebrate - a Bikini event!

Looks like the next couple of weeks in Pattaya is party fever.
