(pacman @ Apr. 01 2008,09:36) Hey bumblebee, I was standing 3 feet away from you when you took these shots.
The memories are as if it were last night.
How are settling in now you are home? I log in often to reminisce on the great times.
Remember my last night in Pattaya, when we stood around with baklaboy, orgasmaddict, billy69 & others,
the girls were frisky, the beers were cold, I just didn't want it to end.
It was a magic time, all too short for me.
Ah yes Mr. Pacman, fondled memories indeed. Yeah settled in back home now, although Orgasmaddict is finding it hard to adjust and he is just back, poor chap.
A very BIG and to La Bamba .. and their delightful mamasan Alis.
I hear that all the La Bamba staff were taking blood tests, yesterday and today, for HIV & Drug testing purposes. Courtesy of a LB doctor introduced through the transgender welfare group 'Sisters'.
This is the first time I have been aware of any LB bar in Thailand doing this. Shout if I am wrong on this, but I know that the main Nana bars don't check anything like that before taking staff on their payroll.
Any bars doing this deserve very great praise from us. And I hope we can get the message home to other bars, by the way we spend our bahts. Yes, I know that a test is only reliable on the day it's taken, etc etc, but it is a big step in the right direction.
Well, I doubt it Billy. But I think it unlikely that any 'positives' will remain as employees. Of course questions remain, like did every girl take the test?
But I got the impression this was a serious move by the management, not just 'window dressing'.
There have been at least a couple of long and sometimes acrimonious threads about HIV testing and it's effectiveness before.
I still don't rate it as proving/changing anything in the short term.
Why? As is mentioned above it's only good for the day it's taken.
But I still applaud it if it continues over the long term.
Why? Because maybe maybe it will raise the girls awareness of HIV and other STD's and eventually improve their lives.
