I will be travelling to Bali for a week in February. Anyone know how to find ladyboys there and any ladyboy friendly hotels?

I don't think you will have any trouble with Hotels..... it's not Thailand and I never heard of a thing like joiner fees or ladyboys being denied entrance.
trouble is, in Bali there is literally only one place to meet ladyboys, the Hulu Cafe [all taxi drivers will know it]. There are usually 8-10 ladyboys working here on stage and on the weekends there may be 6 or 7 ladyboys in the crowd watching. Afterwards, there is a VERY late night-life scene there on Gatu Gatu street and later at the Double 6 bar [opens at 3AM, closes when the last person leaves], and you may be able to find ladyboys in that scene, but they will be hard to pick out.
I hope Bali Ken reads this....he lives there half the year and could help you more. But on my one and only trip there in February of 2003 we could only locate between 15-20 ladyboys the whole time and we worked with 10. -

About Bali at present,
JD, Graham has sold Hulu Cafe,and does shows on weekends only,dont know if many Lb's make there way down there lately, but still a good place to go before heading upto the niteclubs..
Kudos, Spybar, Liquid bar and others on Dynapura st Seminyak area.. have Lb's teaming with them at the moment,,lots of Jakarta Lb's down trying to make a quick buck..They usually hang in packs of 3/4,,you dont have to go looking for them they will find you..Like JD says,,Double six or Deja-vu, both on the beach rd in Legian go to the earlier hours,,

Most hotels in Legian or Seminyak areas are Lb friendly, stay away from Kuta hotels,,mostly backpackers or families,
Iansaint if you need more info message me direct, I can give you advice on a nice apartment or hotel to your liking..

I'm sure if someone was to do up a website,,like an adult nitelife in bali .com it would be very popular..
listing all the places to find Lb's GG's, hotels etc..
I'm over here most of the time and not much escapes me,,
One thing that lacks in bali is a daytime girly bar,,,
for us guys that dont mind a drink in the afternoons...
Still you can get pretty much what you want day & night,,everyone on the Island has got a mobile phone..
Stay where you are,,unless you like surf,and drinking..,,maybe JD might bring you down oneday..

Bali is a cool place....very laid-back and you must try Oscar's bar one night before you go out or the Midnight Oil for one of their awesome shakes. I would seperate a Bali vacation from ladyboy-hunting; save that shit for Pattaya beach and just enjoy the wonders of Bali and take a drive inland like me and Ken did and get close to the locals. {Nice driving missing that 4-foot wide pothole, Ken}.
One good reason to see Bali, Monica below; yummm. and no wig OR hairy belly, just all ladyboy

Is she a nice person ? I mean does she get a good attitude with her customer or is she kind of not such a good attitude, like hurry to finish her ST job, looking her hair every single minute rather than taking care of you ?
