I am always wondering what the LBs I know are behaving outside work setting.
I have a feeling that some of them are not as feminine when they are by themselves and might live more like gay men than the women they claim to be.
My gut feeling is that some do not live 24/7 as girls and don't have totally effeminate manners when off work.

I am totally fascinated by the LB's subculture. They speak in slangs and uses camp terms that are unique to them. They organize themselves into informal groupings of sisters and are closely knitted. I really want to know how they usually live and usually act. I want to know the real LB behind the glamour of the NEP bars.

One thing I learn is never to generalize. However, I am just fascinated by:
a) what precisely do these LB spend their time at home
b) how much time do they spend on dolling up and making themselves pretty
From what I observe, many are not so feminine as they claim to be and are more camp then feminine most of the time.

You said it yourself, don't generalize & as you so rightly said in your other thread, some are genuine TS's others are gay guys earning a few quid & lots of others in between.
Just the same as all LB lovers are into different things & are very different animals, same same the LB's.

If your refering to sex workers then one supposes thay would have a different set of priorities to say some LB working in an office in Chang Mai or wherever

One supposes that outside of the Sex Industry, transexuals would follow similar traits to anyone else other than perhaps extra attention given to appearance as you suggested.

I am absolutely fascinated by what I see in Bangkok (outside the NEP)

When I go to anywhere in BKK, there are scores who ladyboys who are clearly NOT passing well. More like boys with girlish hairstyle and crossdressors acting camp.
They behave and act like girls but don't appear convincing enough.

I talked to many of them in broken English and Thai. They all told them that as if they caught a spell, they realize they love men between ages 8-15. They then joined a sisterhood of katoey in their school or neighbourhood and soon they become transformed into ladyboys. It is sort of a mixture of peer pressure and evolutionary process. They start to act more and more ladyboy like and adopt the language and the lifestyle of ladyboys. This accentuates when they move out and live in with other ladyboys.

I really think that there is an entire new world out there related to these LBs that is totally different from the artificial scene at NEP. Yet, it is impossible to access to this world without speaking fluent Thai at the very least.

I'm guessing you mean at home , ie their home town

In my limited experience (two short visits ) they still live as a lady 24/7 , why wouldn't they ?
They certainly don't dress and behave as they would in BKK or Pattaya in front of their family , but then again they certainly wouldn't .

They actually lead quiet and quite boring lives .

I've seen no examples of them reverting to camp men , yet at the same time I have yet to see one plough a field in a sequined gown and heels

we TS girls are just like any other human being, we eat and sleep. clean the house,do the laundry, cook food...etc

theres really no difference at all with a regular girl except maybe we dont get menstrual cycle or get pregnant.

time dolling up themselves depends on the occasion, if its just go out to eat or shop just few minutes of face powder and lip balm is good. if its a party and we want to glam up an hour will suffice.

TS girls are just like girls except we have something extra special between our smooth legs that your gf/wife dont have. simply priceless!

The essence of what I want to say is that:
a) many but not all LB are transsexuals (who has the mind of a lady and wants sex change) - yet they pretend to us they are transsexuals
b) I am convinced some of them are not transsexuals but gay boys, crossdressers or bisexuals - yet they are transformed as beautiful woman with gorgeous face, stunning body and feminine manners.
c) most of these boys joined a ladyboy subculture which played a pivotal part in their transformation (by mentoring, peer pressure, financial pressure etc)

It is wrong to assume that they all want to become women eventually.

Although it makes no difference to us if we just see them ST, it is nevertheless a topic of great interest to me.

a good definition is a girl but born in a mans body
in South East Asia most TS girls are regarded also as gay boys since we are born boys but only attracted to boys only so they usually call us gay boys that are effeminate
all my TS friends around hundrends of them around Philippines,Thailand, Malaysia are simply a girl born in a mans body from my what ive seen and noticed

some may not undergo full transition or undergo hormonal therapy since they dont have money for it
some can only do cross dress since they have strict family/parents and cant go to work with female clothes
some stay as a man since they are scared to come out in the open

talking about myself i feel im a girl and like hot guys thats it period lol
