Families from Isaan place a higher demand on children - both lbs and ggs to support the family (including the extended family). I don't think this means that MOST groom their lb children or girls to become sex workers. However, unfortunately this seems to be the easiest way for the children to earn money to support their families. Strange they don't have the same expectation for the sons.

This is certainly a much more accurate picture of what I have personally witnessed and experienced and I have spent considerable time in Nakon Nowhere...

During those trips I met and chatted with many LBs and GGs who worked in BKK and Pattaya and subsequently returned to the villages...I'm not certain that their
families knew or wanted to know what their children did in the big city to earn a baht...The mother of the LB I was with had no idea...and I was asked not
to say where we had met...

I certainly do agree that there are ladyboy factories in Isaan...But I don't believe that there are prostitute factories...

In any event, even if it were true...It wouldn't be happening if it wasn't for us...

OK so were off topic now...

i Was with a new Ladyboy , May, the night before last . Shes 18 and from Issan and speaks very good English. Basically the score with her was that her Vietnamese father didnt want a Ladyboy daughter but had no choice and eventually learned to live with it. She sends money back and i suppose that as far as the family are concerned its just a bonus that they are happy to receive.

I other words the money being sent back sort of smooths over the fact that they lost a son to other side. Maybe the parents are just happy beneficiaries in most cases.

Prostution itself may be a small part convincer for some boys to migrate to become LBs however $$$. Capt Outrageous in fact has a solid theory on this and he thinks it is the main reason ... who knows, not me, i leave that to the experts. Since no proper studies have ever been done i guess that we cant begin to answer the question properly

I don't know about that...I think the opportunity for much better money (and acceptance in a certain area of society) brings an awful lot of ts girls into the business at some time or another (worldwide). If that weren't true, I think we'd just naturally see way more lb's and ts girls outside of sex areas.

Here's a quick thought on the posting thing. I went to another bar, away from the area, and barfined a girl from there - like, knew I was screwing up, but had done it.
