Mr. Fox-man....let me ask you a hypothetical question, which has absolutely nothing to do with these 2 people at all.

If a falang gets scammed by a bar girl.....something we have seen for years around here.....he falls in love, but bar girl has love only for his money and the cool things she can get by hanging around with him, and then he gets broken-hearted and broke once she dumps him and she moves on to scam number 2, 3 and number 12 and so on down the line, do you blame the ladyboy [or lady] hooker or the falang??

See, one fundamental difference we may have is that I will blame the westerner 100% of the time; the bar person is doing only what is natural for them and for what will most benefit her and her family the most. If she meets some fool who will give her tons of cash and she takes it, the westerner has more baht than brains and deserves to get played, frankly.

The warnings we have given up here for years are to hopefully prevent this from happening, and yet as has been mentioned before they still happen every day, have for years, and still WILL for years, whether the punters read here or not or take the warnings seriously or not. Frankly I think the ones who DO read here and learn not to make these mistakes are the smart ones and will never end up broke and broken-hearted, and will enjoy thailand for the adult disneyland that it is; but for the ones who don't and then get played and made fools of, I blame THEM and not the hooker, who is just doing her job.

    But lets say a girl goes to BKK from  Chiang Rai ......she is VERY honest, but also very poor;   her family raised her well for 18 years before she moved to live in the big city with her older sister to attend college.  along the way she begins working in cascades because she has heard from other LB's that she can make 40K a month there..... hell, her Dad makes that in a YEAR plowing the family farm for 12 hours per day back home.

         Now she is working.....she is very cute and now just 19 .....guys start throwing cash at her, either for short-time sex or in a perfect hooker world as ''sponsors'' .... yes, I STILL have a hard time with that word; westerners call themselves ''boyfriends'' but the hookers call 'em sponsors, as if they were pledging cash to do a breast cancer walk LOL.


       At this point, and ONLY at this point, does she become dishonest and disingenuiois  in my hypothetical situation, which lets face it happens daily. I may have stated it improperly above, by saying it was ''natural'' for them, when in all probability it is most likely learned behaviour from working with other LB's in a bar setting. So now she now has 1, 2 or 3 sponsors/boyfriends/saps/suckers sending her cash from Japan, Newcastle, Nebraska and Vancouver, all because they LOVE her and they believe she loves them back. 


       Of course she doesn't, she is playing many guys like that all at once if she is good at her job, she probably has a Thai guy she really likes to spend her time with, and has ambitions and dreams which only involve herself and her poor family from Chiang Rai.   Call that 'dishonest'  if you choose, and it probably is, but to them it is justified because they are only doing their job and doing what's proper and best for her family, the number one thing in the mind of EVERY single Thai hooker; as well it should be.   After all, who is more important to you than YOUR family?

 If the multiple sponsors are buying her game, or even just one is, I have no pity for them at all, sorry.

Its a much more even type of relationship.

Nope, I don't at all......and that's a great question.  She is a very experienced bargirl who is way past the point of ''making ends meet'''....... although there was a time, way back when, where she was the exact pretend girl I described; poor, just in from the country, 18 and living in a  BKK craphole and having to help support the parents and little sis back home.

              Waaaaaaaaaaaay  back in 1998, way before I even knew how any of this game was played and on my first trip in Thailand, a girl named Sanook really caught my attention.
