Asunta is a Filipina but she lived and was schooled in the UK from her early teens, and is a really bright, intelligent, and terrific girl.

Asunta is a UK Citizen and therefore rightly able to represent the UK.

Asunta has a super personality and a really lovely lady. The photos I'm posting below do not do her justice.

Ai Haruna calls on for more tolerance towards people with a different sexual orientation in her native Japan.

"I was surprised that so many transgenders can work trouble-free in Thai hotels and restaurants" she said on a press conference in Tokio.  Japan can learn a lot from other Asian countries like Thailand or the Philippines


Transsexuals are still facing explicit or quiet discrimination.  She was refused 5 times as a renter, because the neighbours might have a problem with her being a TS.

Haruna, born Kenji Onishi had her sex change at 19.  Even after that and her first boyfriend, she was constantly facing new obstacles that made her realize she wasn't a woman.

She brings the problems that sexual minority groups have to the international attention.  "And of course, one day I want to marry" she added.
