I'll bet it's as simple as running out of hard drive space. I've been up and down the specs and permissions and that's all I can think of!

Support at iWeb re having a look, although it does not seem to be server space or server load which are the problem.
It maybe the PHP upgrade which is causing an problem?

Something has changed - linking of photos from a multiple photo post is now working. Before all the multiple uploaded photos of a single post had the same uploading code because of hacks done to the forum to upload up to 3 posts to a single photo. Now each seems to retain its unique name and can be hotlinked with success.
Whether this is related to the current problem - remains to be seen.

I think I found the problem, unfortunately the fix isn't that easy.
Working with Stogie and Bam on when to try the fix.
