        Phuket

There's just more to do during the day, beach & swimming etc, and the place is fairly compact. Bangla is pretty good New Years with fire works etc.

                Dave,

I spent a Christmas/New Year in BKK about five years ago and same in Patts the year before last. Overall, I preferred Pataya - there were a lot of tourists around but they were easily avoiding (mainly by the simple expedient of staying away from Walking St!) and there were loads of parties - everyone seemed in high spirits (especially the LBs). There was a pretty good fireworks display on New Year's Eve which seemed to go on for hours.

Bangkok was expensive - 1000 baht barfine on New Year's and I got hit for a 'banquet' fee in the hotel even though I did not go to it. However, the girls from Casanova put on their best outfits and did a fashion parade around the first floor of Nana - I was fairly new to LBs and that parade blew me away. I was with a gg but that show of sex-on-legs moved me over to the 'dark side'.

I suppose anywhere in LOS is better than putting up with the shitty weather and worse office parties in Europe.

Whereever you go, I hope you have a great time.

Fergus: Know what I didn't know? And don't call me that.
Dil: Can't help it! A girl has her feelings.

I spend the holiday camping. Anyone who goes to Pattaya or Phuket during the X-mas/New-Year holiday is out of their frigg'n minds.

Plenty of places in Phuket other than Bangla. It's not the be all and end all. I live in town but avoid Bangla Xmas Eve and New Years Eve. Too crowded for me. I just crank up the mobile, pay a bar fine if req'd and hang out in the quieter bars away from 'The Strip'.
I couldn't give a shit how long it is until you're next holiday- I live here

I spent both Xmas and the New Year in Pattaya...And I'll do it again this year...

Both holidays fairly uneventful...No large crowds and little craziness...

Some good food and great company on Xmas and New Years at a couple bars...

Truth is no one should need an excuse to party and get drunk in Pattaya...

Everyday is Xmas and New Years...

Same same here. Looks like two Christmases in a row with Khun Kahuna!

EZY Bar had a party with a grab bag for all the ladyboys in attendence which was an  excellent idea.

And got to hear my favorite Christmas song, "Suck On My Cock" which is sung to the tune "Jingle Bell Rock".  Quite a collection that Karl has.
