I think the risk of a farang getting busted in Thailand is at least a couple thousand percent greater than in one's home country. The good news is that it's easier to pay and make the problem go away.

I have to disagree with most of your post (i think this makes a first, your posts usually rock).

Farangs getting caught DOING drugs with a hooker usually does NOT end in a jailterm.. Its does end in a potentially expensive bribe to get out of it, yes... I dont know where your pulling the info about going to jail... (In sure it HAS and DOES happen... but its the exception, not the rule I would guess) I suppose you might be assuming that the law is put into practice here just as it appears on paper... But I dont think so, becuase I know you are smarter than that.

and I have to say Ive known MANY ladyboys, and even a few police in my time in Thailand... I know of zero police that had ladyboy girlfriends (and vice versa) -- so that situation I think we can pretty much say is NOT going to happen..

Now... I dont know why you get so worked up about this... Whether someone does drugs with a whore, sticks their dick in the whore, receives whores dick, gets drunk at a bar, list goes on, etc... that is between said whore and him... Why does this set certain people off so much? I mean, if you are fucking (and paying ) a whore, you are breaking the law too... but no one seems to get worked up about that much....

Everywhere in the world male sex workers are linked for the majority to drug addiction ( and it makes sense if you think about it).

It seems it's ok to have a whore-boyfriend but having a whore-junkie-boyfriend isn't acceptable and most of the guys pretend isn't true before the fact is so obvious they cannot deny it anymore (Harris ,are you there?).

Anyhoo , hope the sermons are over, and i was expecting more, I knew the risks before i partook, thats why i was careful as possible and i moved around alot.
Personally speaking for myself if i didn,t take any risks in life you would have to poke me with a stick to see if i was actually still alive.
For example when i,m not doing ladyboys i,m burning round alpine mountains on my 1000cc sportsbike. Only a low barrier or old stone wall between me and a very deep plunge down the side of a cliff face so a wrong move or lapse in concentration can mean death, but you will be pleased to know i dont smoke yabaaaaaah while wheelying a fireblade at 100+mph as that would be certain-death stupid.
What does everyone i know that does not ride say to me. " oh sell that bike before it kills you
People that do ride say" fantastic ,when are you going(to risk Death) again"
I have also motorcycled across foreign countries on my own, some areas i,ve ended up in accidently were quite hostile, i could have been robbed and my throat cut or i could have sat indoors and watched those countries on tv from my armchair, but thats not adventure and i,m glad i,ve done all of it.
Back to my original post and question.
Has anybody had a similar situation and how did you deal with it?

Yawn! Substitute 'male sex workers' with 'sex workers' or 'students' or 'young people' or...

The world is on drugs... Who cares. So long as their actions don't put me at risk then I'm fine with it.

In my few years dabbling in the LB P4P scene it's not a situation that I have been much exposed to. But there are plenty of guys posting here who have far more interesting experiences and stories than I do.

..2000, 3000, baht pocket change... put a $ sign in front of those figures & we're talkin real money; consider yourself lucky you didnt get arrested.. no, drugs weren't my problem this nite, i made a big mistake picking up a freelancer bcuz i was too cheap to pay a barfine that nite & it cost me plenty.. it's too painful & embarrassing to discuss all the details here but my little head was doing all the thinking that nite!  All the warning signs were there to avoid this one & i ignored them & it cost me big time in cash & property, not counting the time & money wasted on an attrny, at the police station, missed flights & xtra expense of rebooking another flight out ... no never again will i pick up a freelancer in BKK unless they are recommended by the BM's here & probably not even then, i would be having flashbacks of this experience!  

..in over 45 years of travelling I have never been ripped off until this trip, at least not any amount that i can even remember.. so being lax & careless this one time & not putting things away hidden out of sight, i got taken big time, even after reading all the warnings here on the forum.. this kleptomaniac was so heavy handed she managed to lift some small items while the police were still there talking to me in my room; didn't discover them missing until I got back from the police station that day!
 
..oh and I had travel insurance to cover theft, but after reading the policy details "participating in an illegal activity voids theft coverage" & having to submit a copy of the police report I decided all i would get in return would be a laughing claims adjuster; so no I didn't bother filing a claim this time, I had to take the loss & chalk it up to a costly experience & lesson learned, the hard way!

 
 What eventually became of all this; well this LB thief never spent 1 day in jail, no not 1, even after she confessed at the station she had taken the money & my property!  Went back to the police station with my attorney & they had let her go, said they would have to get a warrant or summons from a judge for her arrest after a court hearing or sumthing like that, anyway she's long gone & I dont know who ended up with my cash & property but I think the police got it from her because they left the police station together & she never came back.. when my attrny questioned the police colonel about this he said that when they got to her apt the money was gone, they said her roommates had taken it, yeah right!.. this all happened 2 weeks before Xmas so i am assuming to avoid being locked up she gave them whatever cash she had left  & they split it among themselves as a Xmas bonus! .. my attrny had mentioned to me that the police colonel was surprised i came back with an attrny, thought I would forget about this incident; well no, as far as I'm concerned the Thai govt owes me & some day I'm gonna get it all back with interest!.. END OF STORY ..

..not quite, forgot about the incident at the airport when i was leaving for the Philippines! Two older filipinos were standing in front of me & we struck up a conversation while waiting to check our luggage, one thing led to another & I asked them what they were doing in BKK, he told me "oh we come here to play golf with our old friend the POLICE COMMISSIONER".. what, i couldn't believe what he had just told me, they new the Bangkok Police Commissioner!! .. Oh yes, we are old friends they said, well this perked up my interest so I mentioned a revised story of what had happened to me while i was there (no short time LB thief in my room!) and he said well the police commissioner's aide is supposed to meet us here before we leave & i thought hey, maybe i can get some kind of justice after all! Well the aide did show up, i told him what happened (sort of, left out the part about the S/T LB) & gave him a copy of the police report, he looked at it & told me they would look into it but that never went anywhere either; never heard from any of them after giving them all my contact info.. so that's it, nothing ever happened as far as i know, didn't expect them to pursue it any further, they have bigger fish to catch there so it's done & over with!

So don't expect any kind of justice if you're just a visitor there, to them we're just stupid, careless farang who get what we deserve if something bad happens to us if we happen to be committing so called Thai "illegal acts" & we should be thankful they don't jail or fine us after the fact! ..so now you know the rest of the story!

OK now I have heard enough!! All you guys who come to LOS to do drugs please bend at the waist and lower your head........Whapppppppp!! You have just been hit with the Battambang stick which removes all stupidity (which is highly unlikely in many of your cases). I understand doing drugs in your own country and fucking the ugly skanks there to make the experience enhanced but the LB's and GG's are so fantastic in LOS that the drug is the experience. Have a great time and when "Paranoia" sets in next time look for the stick!!
