I will be in Bkk for four days starting december 16, 2004 I'm way too shy to venture by myself to Obssession, KC3 or any other in thailand. Are any of you guys going to be in Bkk during that time I woud really appreciate some company so I can work up the nerve, first couples of round are on me.

I won't be in Thailand till January so I can't help you out.  From the tone of your post it seems you might be looking for more help than just a drinking buddy.  You might want to pay for a professional tourguide that specializes in ladyboy venues.

I would love to guide you around but not there for a couple more months. I remember the first time I went to the LB bars there in Nana I thought it was quite fun going into the unknown by myself. Be adventurous go in alone but before just read some of the members advice before you go into the bars. Don't miss Cascades I always had a blast in there.

I would think that most of us guys were alone the first night we ventured into a ladyboy bar.
I was kind of lucky in a way,having frequented a bar in phuket (karon bch) for a few times kind of broke the ice,,
but I do remember going to Nana's and sitting down stairs at a beer bar for hours looking up at Casanovas (the only one at the time) knocking back heinie's getting the courage to walk upstairs,,once i did that,,,the following nights I was knocking on the door before opening to get in...
My advice, and I think I speak for the majority,,is to walk in order a beer and sit back, relax and let things take there own course,,be firm if the girls crowd you too much,,smile and tell them your waiting for a friend.
if your gonna be there in the next few days I'm sure that a couple of the guys would be more than helpful...
Dont even think about it,,,this is an opportunity of a lifetime, and make sure you decide on payment and times...
Remember this is xmas time and the girls will want to make up for lost earnings..

I too would love to show you around but I am not there for nearly 2 weeks. If you need a bit of dutch courage before venturing into the unknown sink a few at one of the beer bars downstairs but not so many you don't know what your doing.

Walk into the bar head high and sit down and order a drink. Tell the girls you are looking and will call one over if you find something to your liking. If they continue to hover ask for the mamasan and tell her what you want and she will inform the girls not to bug you but it might cost you a drink for her.

Although if you are like me the first time I went into Casanova I welcomed the attention but now I prefer to sit back and check things out.

As Bali Ken said as you are new at this agree on price and times before you leave the bar that way there will be less chance of misunderstanding. Don't just listen to her say yes get her to repeat it you so you know the message got through.

Just let the cards fall where they may and enjoy your trip!

I use to do the same as Bali_Ken, sit in Lucky Lukes in the days when the centre of Nana was just a car park, watch them all come in, have a few beers for dutch courage and then into Casanova and have a good time. The main thing to remember is you are on holiday so no body knows you and nobody will even take any notice of you. So why be shy.

Hi Bony

I was in BKK recently and taking the advice offered by matty69 was a top tip.
I went to Cascades and though I was disappointed not to find one of the girls recommended, I soon settled in and accepted the "game" played by the many attentive lb's.
My advice for what it is worth, is relax and know that any nervousness is adrenelin that you will need that once you have found your girl.
For the record, I found two lb's, could not decide which one so took both and had the time of my life.
