  • Site banned in thailand?

We have a great following in Thailand and it seems that it has become harder to access the site in recent weeks...

This post is a cry for help and some information that may help...

One of the following URLs should work for the main site:

    http://www.asiants.com

    http://www.asian-ts.com

(We are working on a reliable mirror site and hopefully that will be set up soon.)

    The forum is here...

    http://www.asiants.com/cgi-bin/board/ikonboard.cgi

    http://www.asian-ts.com/cgi-bin/board/ikonboard.cgi

    The Clubhouse is here...

    http://asian-ts.com/members/clubhouse.html

    http://asiants.com/members/clubhouse.html

    http://www.asianladyboysxxx.com/clubhouse/

Please let us know what does and does NOT work for you and include the IP providor that you use...

Thanks in advance for your help,

    Stogie Bear

Currently I cannot get to the members part of the site. Not sure if this is a DNS issue or ISP one. However if they are blocking the whole domain then I would not be able to see the forum so who knows. I use Telstra bigpond ADSL in Australia

That's a good point. It may be that certain pages or index pages of domains are blocked? I don't really know how they block sites! Frustrating though, innit!

Here's a letter i got from a member using 'loxinfo' in Thailand...

thanks for coming back to me. I can access everything
on the site if the URL is www.asiants.com. If it is
        www.asian-ts.com, then it gets blocked.

When I try to log onto the forum using the link below
I get taken to "Page cannot be displayed". This is
because the URL is asian-ts, with the hyphen. If I
remove the hyphen it will then access the log in page.
I put in my password etc and click log in but I again
get taken to "Page cannot be displayed". However this
time the URL in the address page is the Log In page
again, which means I have to re-type my password etc.
A solution is that when the Log In button is clicked,
the link is of the form asiants, without the hyphen.
        It is currently
        www.asian-ts.com/cgi-bin/board/ikonboard.cgi.

I sorted it by using a toolbar from
        http://www.anonymization.net. You download the
toolbar (which is only a small size) and it sits under
your normal toolbar. For banned sites put the site
URL into the Anonymizer toolbar and you can
anonymously surf, meaning that all the sites that the
Thai police have, in their wisdom, blocked are now OK.
Seems to work OK and I can now access the site even
        using asian-ts.

Hope this helps, and keep up the good work. I will
start to get active in the forum soon. Just checking
out the lie of the land first!!!

JI-Net has blocked it. Loxinfo, at least on my attempts, has blocked it. Others too.

The problem with proxies (if accessing member sites) is that if the site requires a pword, they can steal your pword. This is especially true with the free proxies.

If this is not enough, it is also worth mentioning that many proxy sites are also now BLOCKED by the Thai gvt. Do a proxy search on google and see how many of the sites that come up are now blocked from Thailand. The answer is 98% of the 20 or so I checked.

It is nearly impossible for me to post here now. My only chance is from other Asian countries when I travel. Shit.

A plea for the mirror site, Stogie!

The alternative is to have the forum hosted on another one of our numerous web addresses. I'll have a chat with Jon about that! Should be easy enough to transfer over. They are all on the same servers after all!

Thank you all for your feedback. I am running Windows XP sp 1 still. I am also trying to access using Mozilla on my linux box and same problem. I am starting to think it is a username/password problem again. I will contact support.

It may well be a password access problem. A few people have had a problem in this area. A quick note to support and it'll be fixed pronto.

Any action on solving the access problem, Stogie and/or JaiDee?

I've been blocked for about 3 weeks now. Ironically, I can get to the pics and clubhouse by using asiants.com, but not to the msg board. Found my way in today by using an obscure, and risky (for pword theft) proxy.

The following link takes me to the members password page and the password still works. I can access the clubhouse, pics and videos but not the forum. I use loxinfo when in Thailand.
