Figures on the right are our gigabyte usage which is way under our 3,000 gigabyte allowance. (It's 25 cents a gigabyte if we stray above that figure!) The chat is a lot less intensive than the forum... unless we get a flood of video users!

Has a lot of functions and still easy to learn and use.

I thought discretion was one of the key selling points of this forum? How many people are actually going to show their ugly mugs in semi-public?

Exactly. Don't take this the wrong way but it's never going to be IM live with tons of LB's flashing there wares all over the shop.

Whilst all the Bm's I've met have been ok guys, I've no desire to have their mugs flashed across my desktop. Still it's your money Stoogie. Who am I to tell you how to spend it.

I think it is a great idea, as i have only met 4 Irish guys in person and i know what a few other bm's look like, i think it would be a great idea, just so long as :

1, all VIP's and admin and senior bm's have some sort of control as to who i looking at their faces,

2, that we get more privacy as to who is going to get in to view who is in the chat-room, and just make sure that all a guest or whoever just looks in all they will see is a list of bm's names showing up.

It sounds like fun! At least for the board members that is! I hope that it is not such a pain in the ass to administer after you get it started that you wonder why you did it in the first place! But I am all for it! And like the sign says You rock with a great progressive idea!

I tend to agree that video is not a total plus. Probably everyone is thinking of a private more intimate chat setting and not one with 10-15 faces on screen chatting away.

The ability to chose who sees you is a nice one but could result in a confusing chat situation.

Is is possible to have a blind general chat with breakout rooms for those more familiar with each other and interested in visual contact?

Now I see the wisdom of it all. My follow of the thread led me to believe it started as a video free for all. If it starts blind and learns to see ... that has great potential.
