Well, he could be right. Maybe she's the one who breaks the mold. Or maybe she ain't! Chances are she and him are destined for disaster.

But it's too easy to blame it on the bar workers when in fact the farangs have totally unrealistic expectations about the girls/ladyboys and themselves when it comes to making a relationship work.

Thanks, that was my point. Regard them as pros and treat them like normal people ()or as yourself would want to be treated) but be careful if you step over that line.

I thinkits fantastic that their culture doesn't look down on bargirls so much.

Regardless, a pro is a pro and if you are sending her money monthly then think again.

I bet most of the girls would get out the bar scene if they could earn as much money doing other things, or they had a BF/husband that would look after their familys financial needs.

Aint going to happen in most cases, so they just keep working bar.

Girls like Jenny (guess bar) love working bar, she is a pro, but My guess is most would get out if they could.

Many of us have developed (real or imagined) relationships with Thai P4P workers that transcend the purely physical so I suspect most of us use no word at all.

I prefer Bar Girl because THEY prefer it. Also, the word 'prostitute' conjures up the worst of the industry and not the best and there clearly IS a range of good and bad, even in the sex trade.

50%...? Ha...in some states in like New York, it's more than 50% and the courts always rule in favor of the woman.

The answer is quite simple and it's also easy to deceive yourself to think otherwise. giving money or goods in exchange for sex is prostitution, simple. yes it's very different to the west blah blah blah! what makes me laugh is the "bf's" having to pay there "gf's" after sex. am crying for ya's
