Is anyone using the chat room and is there a ink on the website anywhere??

I asked about this before but got no reply. A IRC channel dedicated to this site would be great I chat on IRC all the time great way to get to know people. I went to the IRC server that is there but we need a channel name to go chat at. The channel name needs to be registered with the particular server admin. We can set one up like #ats or something like that. Hope this gets going it would be fun.

A dedicated channel is definitely a good idea. I've only met train-spotters from Reading and other lost souls on the chat till now.........oh, and some crazy motherfucker called mirimark.

Hopefully an ats channel would work a little better. Anyone have the know how to set it up?

I don't know much about IRC and chat channels so if someone would like to set it up or show me how to do it I would be happy to get it done...

There is a link in the Clubhouse for the existing chat program but as we haven't really found a permanent solution I haven't thrown up links everywhere just yet...

Ok I might actually contribute something to this site. Let me ask some of my IRC friends about how to set up a channel. I usually using channels that involve gamers and they all pretty much know alot about IRC.

Ok I have talked to the IRC helpers and for the site you as a chat person need to load the latest Java program. I used this one http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp . I am on there now. We just need to set up a channel with a specific channel name in it like #ats-com or something. Stogie check your PM so you I can tell you how to set up admin rights for you and also for you to set up channel name. If anyone else needs hel pI will try and direct you in the right direction. Its pretty simple to use I mean come on I figured it out and im a mechanic.

Well bad news SB that server that is on there does not allow porn of any kind so if you could another server but keep Java it would be ok. Just find one that allows porn.

Well, that's OK...

I don't think enough people are going to be lining up to chat on line anyway. I have been down this road before and in the end it's just a couple of people for a couple of days then it just dies off...

It's handy if a couple of people want to talk and exchange information etc...

What we have now is simple and works on all computers without having to install extra programs etc...

If something really cool does come along that we can incorporate into the Clubhouse then I would be interested in seeing it...

check out dal.net or clipped.lomag these are both great places to put an irc chat. Very easy to start up and get going and best of all FREE! pm me if you need any help I do know about both of these places dal.net is going to be your best bet thoughit allows anything and is really busy it would be a great place to drum up some more business

Am I missing something here? What is better or even different about the CHAT program we are using right now? They look the same to me!

it is similar but there are many more people on those networks so from a buisness standpoint they could be more lucrative for the website.
