MBK is Mah Boon Krong shopping centre which is only as short walk to National Stadium BTS and the Pathumwan Princess Hotel is on there but don't stay there it is a 900m baht joiner fee

It is also not far from Siam Centre.

If you were lucky enough to get laid on the first date meeting a "non working" ladyboy then I imagine a generous cab fare or some shopping money would be appreciated. (It might not always be accepted.)

Yes MBK is right next door to the Pathumwan Princess across the road from Siam Discovery which is connected to MBK which is spelt something like Mah Boon Krong as Ozzie said.

Saturdays and Sundays are the best days but be prepared for thousands of other Thais to be there, it one hell of a busy place and in fact is the most expensive retail rent in Bangkok.

I understand they charge out by the square foot! A buddy of mine has 4 shops there but says every satang is worth it such is the traffic that passes.

Week days it is the hang out place for all the students from Chulalongkorn Uni and other nearby universities, so you still get a good number of college lboys there during the week. They look so hot in their college uniforms and high heels.

Hey man, we really have the same tactics for day-time contacts! MBK for the Chula-students, Emporium for the spoiled tgirls, doing window shopping. I love it and met the nicest, prettiest and sexiest girls there. Sometimes it can be a bit hard to come across without speaking Thai, but so far it worked out pretty well.
I also met once a great girl with her lb and gay friends in the book&CD shop (by the way the best one in BKK!) at the Emporium. I stalked them into the book section and asked right away what kind of book about Thailand I should buy for friends at home. That's a great and easy way to chat them up, because you have immediately a topic to talk about. It was a group of 4 or 5 of which 3 were LB's and one - Pong -was actually super-cute! Straight long hair, pretty tall (maybe about 170cm), nice hormone boobs and this angel-face type....*sigh*. She looked a bit like Pun who is featured on this site - but more classy and fortunately pre-op!
So we talked and afterwards I invited them for drinks at the Greyhound restaurant on the 2nd floor. We had a great time and dated the following evening. Dinner at the river with Pong, Q-bar afterwards, my room in the night. She was 21 and actually studying mass-communications at Thammasat. A fantastic girl in any way, absolute gf material.
...the only problem is: I wouldn't recommend myself as bf-material...
