In the past I frequently used the coffee emoticon cause for me drinking coffee while reading the paper is a very positive thing.  

Also used the wanker emoticon quite a bit cause I actually didn't realize it was a guy wanking; to me it was a guy scratching his chin deep in thought.

To me this    means you're bored and would rather be reading the newspaper than the post...
Kinda like the guy with his Soi 6 date from the night before having breakfast...He would rather read
the paper than try and talk and entertain her...Why bother taking her to breakfast...Why bother reading the post...

         Both of these also indicate boredom to me...

But perhaps there is something lost in translation...

The girl I've been seeing since early October moved to the states from the Phils with her parents when she was 17 (2003). Her parents made her cut her hair short when they moved, which was devastating for her. So her US passport, driver's liscense, and other various photos are all very boyish and embarrassing for her.

Shockwow or chuckwow or chagwow in Thai means the up and down movement when flying a kite. So it's used as slang for wanking off which I always thought was the emoticon for chin scratching.

I also use quite a bit but not in a pejorative sense. Probably alienated a few folks without realizing it.

I used to have a Philippino LB girlfriend who only started living full-time as a woman at the age of 27. So, I saw photos of her as a guy up to age of 27 (abeit a very femme guy with long hair).

Despite her late transition, she looked great - boob surgery and hormones played a part. Also, being tiny and hairless help too

If thats not the issue, is it about seeing pics of your partner when they were a kid? I've got lots of pics of Natalie as a little girl and I look at them and smile thinking what a cutie she was back then..

I never think of myself as a kiddie fiddler, I mean I didnt fuck her then.. Yet seemingly this is your other main concern..

All in all we're a bit confused about this thread in general really ...

 Thanks for bringing it back around.  Yes, my post was kind of a two-pronged affair... the reporting of the bizarre event, and then the subsequent reaction.

I also got a bit of a strange feeling when looking through my gf's childhood photos. She had that sad dark look in most of them in her teens too.

I just came to see more of the person below the skin and the hair and then it didn't seem so strange. In her eyes there is a predominantly female soul looking back at me. That is the same soul that's always been there, so better learn to accept it in all its manifestations.
