  • Lost in seoul

    Hi all

I'm stuck in Seoul until Wednesday and was wondering if anyone has good contacts or tips for meeting Korean LBs?

I'm aware of at least four LB bars in Itaewon, being Trans Rose, Akasaka (sign outside says Bar Trans), Bocachio and Yobo Yobo (haven't found the last one but people swear it's there somewhere) but as people may be aware the Korean bars are nothing like the go-gos in Bangkok...drinks start at US$20 each (although a hard bargainer can get them down to US$10) and most of the girls don't speak even pidgin English. So if anyone has any contacts or better venues to visit, I'd be grateful.

$20? The girl comes free with the drink, right?
Retired the top 12.  Need a new dirty dozen.

Update: The new list is coming together: Nong Poy, Anita, Nok, Gif, Liisa Winkler, Kay, Nina Poon.  Is it possible to find 5 more?  Until then, GGs:  Jessica Alba, Yuko Ogura, Zhang Ziyi, Maggie Q, and Gong Li.

Having lived for several months in Seoul, I can attest that you've got the major spots covered. Sorry. However, there are always a few who work freelance on the street outside of they Hyatt hotel. A few may show u at beginning 12 or 1 and more may arrive starting at 3-4am.

On the upside, there are a few very nice girls who work in the bars (but not many) who won't charge you if they like you.

          Good luck.

I was allocated a complete mongrel and charged KRW130,000 ($110) for the first drink in one of those two bars (one closer to itaewon). I walked out and never returned.

My deepest sympathy ! Korea eh Bad luck mate. Anyone making rotting cabbage a national dish is definately one short of a six pack!

Never met a genuine Korean yet - or a well mannered one for that matter. Just ask our American cousins.

              Hope your misfortune ends soon.

You're abolutely right Bricktop. i haven't met one genuine person in Korea. They are driven by greed, selfishness, worship money and heartless people. if it wasn't for the good ol USA, they'd still be wiping their asses in the rice fields.Yet, they disguise America, every which way they turn. 50 thousand American soldiers died for them to same their asses, and they show no apprecition at all.
