Anyone who takes any  religion to its extremes and shows intolerence to others based on their own beliefs is twisted .

Also anyone who feels the need to generalize about muslims should be mindful that a small proportion of well known posters here are muslims , I've met a couple of them and they are decent people in my opinion .

well i agree and disagree. yes some muslims are great. but lets be honest, in the case of the Uk there are a huge amount of them (muslims) who have emigrated there and are entitled to be there.There is large % of them , whom do not want to intigrate into society and do not want to have anything to do with the host countrys folks. To me this is because they are racist and hate the host people with apassion. there sole reason for leaving there belovid lands of Alah is because we are soft cocks and give them free school free medical free l social security.

Try building a church in Pakistan or Saudi arabia, then you will see the level playing ground we apparently are living in.
I note, on a recent trip to Phuket , that there was hostility from muslims towards me, when riding round with mint in the back streets. I have never seen this before in Thailand.
There are insugency.s in many country's including Thailand ,and it wont belong before there are major upheavels within country's like UK Australia, Holland Germany and France.,
I take people as i find them and in general get along with most people form whatever religion or race
I live in the west and am entitled to my say as are the rest of society.Good luck
And i wished they(muslims), in the west ,who want to change our society, would just fuck of back to there own country and leave us alone.

Heh, you don´t think they are tolerant enough to let us build a christian church in their country? I´m shocked!

I had that too from muslims when i went home with a lb in Pattaya, they shouted some read bad stuff, but all they really wanted to do was take it up their ass but they would be stoned if they did that in their home country.

Never got abuse from any Muslims when in Thailand (I'm sure when you say Muslims you actually mean Arabs. I doubt you could tell a Malay from a Thai. Many Indians are also Muslim). However, I did receive loads of abuse (some of it quite menacing) from Aussies about being with a LB

Maybe so (arabs), and i can tell the difference from thais and malays, singporeans etc.

You know thais are very intolerant to indians and other muslims?

if the world was rid of any form of "IDOL" worship and people stopped behaving in such extreme ways in their attempts to spread their illness/imaginary friend about the world would be a better place. the human race needed idols thousands of years ago............it is now a much more advanced and educated species, there is no longer any need for IDOLS. belief in human kind needs to be tought more and gradually push out IDOL worship, this needs to start at school. so that over generations change can take place.it took thousands upon thousands of years for IDOL worship to develop in humans then religions/beliefs............so it will follow that it will take hundreds if not thousands of years to rid the human race of this scurge on its ability and development. it is possible but it must start somewhere.

In buddhism (that is a non-theist religion), there are guide-lines directed towards the non-extreme. One of the basic guide-lines is to follow the "middle-path" which has in its definition to seek the opposite to extremes.
There are many other guidelines that point in the same direction.
This is very different from Islam.
So as a RELIGION they are very different and point in different directions.

Most people are rather true to their religion in countries that have much poverty and little or no education. Educated people are often not so extremely different and will fit into different individual discriptions like dickhead or the opposite.

I think the main point is that 1) the religions as such have great differences. and
2) low level of education make people easy targets for being manipulated.

In my view islam is a very dangerous religion today.
The negative power of Islam lies in my opinion mainly in the power over the non-schooled masses, and the manipulation they put upon "most people". And the way it is tought these masses.

Christian religions have done much of the same earlier

The original post and article is a product of these factors (non-education and manipulation). The "war" against muslim terrorism and muslim "cruelty" goes through helping their education.
Almost all people are good and want good for themselves and others. If they are able to understand and make choice on a free basis of knowledge the world is left with ONLY the problem that some folks are dickheads instead of the massive manipulation of the non-educated.
In buddhism ignorance is one of the great 3 destroyers together with hatred and greed.

Sorry to be so damned serious about this, but it is a damned serious matter.
