You always think in terms of the currency you earn. So I do not think I am spending a 1000 THB but about $33 AUD.

If you live and work in Thailand then of course you think in THB. I am sure Stogie can vouch for this. But when you are just on holiday then 1000 THB does not seem so much but if you are earnig 10000 THb a month then it seems like a lot.

This simply is not the case...

The girls may 'get lucky' every now and then with a rich Jap or drunk German, but these people do NOT set the prices. The prices are set by what bills need to be paid. This has never changed.

You can still get LT from Nana plaza for 2,000 Baht for a night with a pretty ladyboy. The Japs set the price in Japan!

Well, MrDragon, actually you do have a point that I had forgotten about... The Japs do have their own clubs in Thailand. These are VERY expensive and are off limits unless you are Japanese!

A good Example is the NIKE-store on Silom Rd. Its only built for the Japanese customers. I did talk to the manager and he told me that the prices was set direct to Japanese tourists..Because they pay more....
He told me hardly any Europeans were shopping in his store at all,but he dident see that as a problem..
