Do they really prefer farangs?

FF and Si Geena can join in on me with this one, but in my ahem - limited - experience, I found that LBs seemed to gravitate to EVERYONE who has money equally from a P4P perspective. Beggars can't be choosers right? If you're going to be a picky whore you're not going to make much money.

However, even the P4P girls need some luvin' on the side, and I've found that their relationships with Asian men, such as myself and my compatriots above, seemed to be facilitated by the fact that we sort of look like them (i.e. Thai), share some of the same cultural beliefs and practices, and in general have more knowledge of their societal norms. I would also guess the second biggest factor, if not the biggest factor with how you would interact with anyone P4P or not is age. A teenage girl is not going to get along the same with a balding fat man of 50 as she is with a nice young bloke of 20.

Nonetheless, my view...

What makes a relationship successful? It's never changed. It's always been about building trust and that can only be achieved if you share common or similar language, values, social norms and objectives.

If you are born and bred in Thailand, you'll not be too removed to have a successful relationship with a lb, because you'll have shared the ingredients to do so. Nevermind, if you're a farang and your name is as apple pie as Jack Wilshere.

Why are we talking about having meaningful relationships with P4P girls anyway? It's too much work for one's lifetime. Only fools should apply.

I do appreciate your opinion DP,  but I doubt most of what your posted...

First, I seriously doubt that YOU share some of the same cultural beliefs as Thai's...Nor do I believe that YOU have a greater depth of knowledge of their societal norms...

And I base that solely on the fact that I have personally watched you get yourself into deep dodo with several girls while in Thailand solely because you failed to understand them....Now if that has changed it is because you learned not because you share some aspects of their culture...

Regarding your final point, I'll give you part of it...I agree that the young girls interact differently with me than they would with you...And as you know I am neither bald nor fat but surely 50+...And of course, you definitely look more like them than I do...But that doesn't mean that I don't get along with them as well as you do...Simply that they might act differently toward me than you... Perhaps you simply had a poor choice of words in that statement...

Well - you just brought up an interesting point since I'm coincidentally coming back from a business discussion with my Hong Kong friend/partner about business.

The core of the dicussion was about asking (forcing?) a supplier to do something for us. " We can pay him!" my friend said..well..it's not ALWAYS about being able to pay for.

Great majority of people in this, and not only, part of the world consider money as the key to everything.

That's my observation too. That's why I am a bit astonished that LBs might show more interest in farangs in bar-situation.....

....chatting with several LBs in LOS last year, I was told that their dream in life is to marry a White man and go away to Germany or USA or Switzerland and start a new life there as a woman. Rarely do they dream of going to do this in Singapore or in Taiwan - as the cultural stigma there makes this pretty unrealistic to dream about.

Also, maybe due to ethnic differences, most Whites find most LBs totally feminine and many can't tell the difference between a gorgeous LB and a GG many of the times. Whereas most LBs will not easily pass the radar of Asian men, even the most gorgeous LBs in LOS (unless they are really petite and hormone bred pre-adolescence). Hence, in front of Asians, most LBs cannot feel they are totally feminine whereas with farangs, they don't feel like LBs so much.

I know I sound far fetching but the above were told to me by actual Thai LBs (both in P4P and non working ones)

Im white caucasian guy and I never kid myself that the girls are interested in me for any reason other than my wallet.....
I also think that at the end of the day, if a girl has a choice between a thai guy with 3000 baht to spend and a farang with 3000 baht, she would go with the thai in most cases...
despite what many think, the majority are attracted more to their own ie. Thai...
its the same as westerners, we are here on this forum because we like asians and we like lbs...but we are the minority....the majority of western men prefer western women.....go figure...
