try taking shots outside like a tourist would of some of the places that we would visit

if everything worked out on their trip to Kuala Lumpur,  Mickey and Banana will have a great series from there; "Banana goes to Kuala Lumpur"  would be a great gallery of a beautiful girl in a new city that we have never been to.

My thoughts exactly.

But not being a photogrpaher myself, JD your description of how a slight movement throws off the lighting makes sense to a photogrpahic luddite like myself.
