 I've seen them too Lefty but when you add extra taxi fare coming out from Pattaya, baggage fees, time  etc I would rather Fly out of Patts, plus the times are better.

Anyway I'm snobbing it on my trip next time   , the early Flight back from Ubon is not so bad as its only 10 minutes from the Hotel to the Airport and arrive in Phuket at a decent time
