The police raided Kaos club yesterday at around 9pm from what i can gather. Upon entering i asked the manager why it was empty and got a very honest reply that "farang stay away because of Police raid today". All the chill out rooms are now closed.

One must assume that they have a visit at least once a week as both times i been there this year there has been a raid on that day day. Coincidence ?

Most of the guys hanging about Sunee Plaza are 20 year stretches waiting to happen and i presume that arrests must happen sometimes. There are also fake ID cards and ID on loan from friends just to placate the farangi .

I dont like posting bad news, we have heard it before, and do not want to put anyone off but what else can one do ? Should we keep on reporting these raids?

If you always pack a parachute ,have high blood pressure and like sending nice postcards to mother then this place aint for you .

yes for sure, bad news is better than no news and it could save some people from getting in trouble. I have only been to Sunee two times and left alone because there was really nothing there to my liking; too many boys in jockstraps

but there did seem to be an awful lot of young kids standing around who didn't seem to be 18. shouldn't they be home somewhere in the provinces reading a book?

There are two ladyboys in Kaos that i would i say are just about to leave the nest so to speak, Aek and another whos name escapes me. Both are 18 y/o and very nice, petite and smooth. I doubt if they will stay in Pattaya once they have wings.

Your right about the rest JD, just Boys. There are a sprinkling of other LBs around in Sunee but its a bit hit and miss depending on which way the wind is blowing .

as I have said here before stogie, true ladyboys start their 'training' at about age 13 or 14 and by the time they are in their late teens are already living full-time as ladies. so in my opinion if there are ladyboys in Sunee or anywhere else that are just starting to transition at 19 or 20, they are probably not true ladyboys but rather gay boys who see that there is more money to be made as katoey hookers. don't laugh, there are many like this and some of us have been with them.

there are also the ones who can't start their change to being ladies because of family troubles back in the provinces; the father basically threatens the kid and beats him if he tries to be a ladyboy at 16, so he can't wait to move to Pattaya or Bangkok at 18 and start his new life as a girl. you may run across a few of these in places like Sunee.

all in all I think it's best to avoid the ones that look too young or too much like boys. Jenny Star and Linda bar and walking street in general have 'real' shemales who have been living that way for 8 or 10 years. best to hang with that crowd if you like true ladyboys.

About the Fake ID card. This was told me by another Farang in a bar and i have do not have direct evidence of this.
Maybe someone else has heard of this.

Its a difficult process trying to establish a girls age. Thai ID's look very easy to fake and genuine ones can get very tatty with constant use. Also most Thai's look younger than their real age, as evidenced by galleries on this site (e.g. First, Jessica and Tangmo). And of course when called upon to make this decision you are usally pissed and horny.

Jessica is actually from Manila,  but yes she looks young; she is only 18. Tangmo is actually 21! she looks younger in her first photos from the ruamchitt in 2002.   these people can look very young, even if they are 19 or 20 or 21, and on the other hand the 15 and 16 year olds can say they are 18 or 19 and it would be hard to know.

   we    don't work with a girl unless she has an ID card that says she is over 18, preferably a passport, and we photograph that next to her face.  the same precaution  [but no photo necessary]  should be taken by guys when they meet ladyboys that look young; could save you from some serious trouble.
