when I mentioned 2 years ago that even 50% of bar workers were using Ice or X or other recreational drus I was dismissed as talking out of my arse and being 'wound up' by the bar workers, which was actually pretty hilarious. So 2 years on, can we all agree that a good percentage of bar girls and ladyboys are using drugs these days?

Of these figures, I'd bet 90% of what they are doing is pure garbage also!

  watered-down Xtasy which has only small hints of real MDMA..... cut-to-shreds 'cocaine' which may have started as that back in Columbia but is now about 10% pure anywhere in the world... Ice/Meth?   pure crap, just trucker and biker speed started in California which has somehow found its way to thailand and the bar workers now love it, and it has taken over Yabaa as the drug of choice for those people. Ya- baa,  literally 'crazy medicine',  is pure crap and makes these people insane and like Meth leaves these kids looking all thin and junkie-looking;  real sexy, girls!

      Hasn't anyone in these bars ever heard of anything safe and non-synthetic like    and 'shooms?

I think those numbers are probably accurate for the bar scene, but in talking about the general population, I don't know if its going to be that high. I was young once and while I'd say a good 50% of my peers did drugs on a recreational basis, you're not going to find a bunch of hopped up youngsters in most clubs in the US (in my experience).

  probably true  here  DP,  but  the UK has a lot of depressed kids taking what they believe is Ecstasy on the weekends and it can be found these days for 2-3 pounds on the streets ..... I think that's what  TC was alluding to. they like that watered-down Coke over there also, it may be selling better these days in the UK than in the US.

A great book by Tony Thompson called "Gangs" gives a good assessment of what's going on there these days, who the customers are, etc...



 With the X, they don't realize what they are being sold is about 75% filler; meth and coke and other crap, with real MDMA making up a fraction of what they are popping in their mouths.  then they wonder why they feel like crap from sunday to tuesday.

You were being wound up because that figure (50%) is too LOW right?  Certainly someone wasn't suggesting it was too high.... Because that is nuts.

Panzer is right, though... It is simple fact everywhere in the world: SEX WORKERS USE DRUGS.  Not every single sex worker, but the VAST VAST majority.  And c'mon... the reasons are obvious:

1. Drugs give people energy. (Energy which can be used to say, dance all night, or fuck all night)

2. Speedy drugs such as Meth and Cocaine tend to make people horny.

3. They also dull the senses in certain areas like say... an ass.  Many people who  think it hurts getting fucked in the ass, actually enjoy it when they do drugs. That is why drug use is ESPECIALLY prevalent with GAY sex workers.

4. Drugs give people a more "carefree" attitude which is useful in a job where fucking people that you aren't attracted to is just another day at work.

5.  And then there is Xanax (a Ladyboy Zombie favorite) which is prescribed for anxiety.  It numbs the mind which is also great for when you have a job in which you are fucking people that you really don't want to be.  Xanax is also a ladyboy favorite because it can make it very easy to forget anything that happened while you are on it.

6.  Speed is an appetite suppressant.  People who sell there bodies need to control their weight if they want to be sellable.

While I agree with you that shrooms should be handed out for free everywhere, what you said about Ice and Yaba is incorrect. To my knowledge you cannot crystalize trucker speed... And Ice is just that -- crystals (hence the name crystal meth) and while the Ice here (depending on where you get it) is typically not pure it definitely contains methamphetamine. Yaba is the same.. It is made from amphetamines and a few other ingredients such as caffeine. Yes, there are some fake pills out there, but it is definitely not trucker speed and it DEFINITELY does not come from California. Yaba comes from Myanmar, and the Ice consumed in Thailand typically is definitely made right here in Asia (most of it not manufactured in thailand though)...

The other thing: Drugs do NOT make people insane. (Atleast the drugs we are talking about here. Cocaine, Methamphetamine, etc most certainly don't make people crazy. It is the LACK OF SLEEP that makes them crazy. The ladyboys who know how to take care of themselves while taking drugs (making sure they sleep every night as well as eat every day) you can not even notice they use drugs... then there are the others which simply cannot control themselves and stay up for 7 days -- THOSE are the crazy ones.
