pistolero is unfortunately correct, the culture of saving face means that Thais will go to great lengths to avoid being seen as "wrong". That means not engaging in heavy conversation, not asking questions, not asking for help when stuck, etc...
This is not universal and I know lots of Thais who have gotten over this attitude. But they are the exceptions.

Wow uv talk a lot to this topic then ha well i was just wondering about this thing and im looking for the words that myour gonna say about us philippinos and thailanders hehehe and its nice great well yes maybe its also one factor about english things but for me it dosent matter about that cuz i know thai ladys are also good and even thou they dont know that much in english but im sure they have some things that they can do for you to understand it and im sure of that..... well yes talking about philippinos well we talk english here too cuz thats also one thing in the school and you know what guys i was watching a news just resently... and they were talking about school and they were saying that children or any person whos in the school campus shuld speak english and i think that is one things thats why we are good at it heheheheheh
