Regarding Areeya, she should remember that these things work both ways. When she makes arrangements to me someone, after a series of emails and calls, she should show up, not just change her mind and go to work instead. Money was never a problem, this was discussed and an amount way over the odds agreed, but she decided to go to bar instead.
I speak from experience as she failed to show with me last week......like I say , it works both ways and not all farangs are trying to mess you about.

My experience with Areeya has been very pleasurable. I was suprised at how nice she was to me the first time I went to Cascade, because of how beautiful she is... The second time I went... she was just as nice...

In my opinion she is holding up very well to the pressure of being #1 in a bar.... Its like being a rock star... Wouldnt it be hard not to get an attitude if you knew everyone wanted you? of course it would be.. thats human nature.

so, in summary: I think Areeya is quite nice, and I didnt detect the slightest bit of attitude!

What goes on in these bars? These "bar fines" how much are they and what do you get in return?

I haven't been to Thailand yet but I am slowly planning towards a trip in the spring. I don't know the lay of the land on how to meet Ladyboys.

Any advice?

I e mailed Areeya twice before arriving in Bangkok and also spoke to her on the phone from the UK about one week before I was due to get into town. She sounded keen to meet me and spoke good English. I called her as soon as I got to Bangkok and she agreed to meet me 3 days later in the evening and asked me to call to confirm the arrangement, saying please call me between 4 and 6 pm. I tried to call her every day during these times to confirm but when her cellphone rang she just swithced it off. Probably had a customer who had booked her for a few days and didn't want to be bothered. I'm not a Cheap Charlie and don't mind paying barfines and would expect to pay top dollar for a Superstar like Areeya and would be happy to pay too. So, the point is, if she thinks people are letting HER down, she needs to rethink her own attitudes and answer her cellphone when she gives a prospective customer a specific time to ring. I'd still like to meet her but I'm afraid she has a very "THAI" attitude and needs to try and understand that once she has made arrangements she should at least try to keep to them. She is a superstar but there are lots of other terrific looking LB's in Bangkok.

in a nutshell, a bar fine is what you must give the bar to take a girl out of there; it's usually 500-600 baht [about 14 dollars] and she can stay with you all night or you can keep her for an hour or 2 and she will usually go back to work.

meeting ladyboys is as easy as getting in a taxi and saying "Nana Plaza", unless of course you are staying within walking distance from there. on the bottom floor is Obsessions; 2nd floor is Casanova; 3rd floor is Cascades; all three are ladyboy-only and are free to walk into. Each has between 25-35 ladyboys on any given night so you can plan on meeting about 100 on these 3 floors.

after you pay the bar fine, take them back to your room or to a short-time room in Nana Plaza[another 300 baht]. The girls that work there generally expect between 1000 and 2000 for short time and double that for over-night stays. so figure in US dollars it should be about 50 to 75 dollars to find a girl, have a couple beers, and take her out for sex.

Not a bad deal, really, when you consider that in the states you would pay the same in some urine-smelling strip bar where the closest you would get to your bitchy object of affection is stuffing a 10-dollar bill in her garter belt. here you get whatever you want, with nary a "no" ever uttered.
