Do any men in Norway or ts-es married to Norwegian men know anything about the procedures and conditions of having a civil union done in Norway? And where to have it done, etc? Thanks in advance!

Norway is very open minded. I have never been, but my post-op katoey friend lived there for 6 months with her Norwegein National boyfriend. She has travelled to a few European countries in the last 10 years.

I suspect it will be a quite straight forward procedure.

      Regards.

        Hi
Yes it is very easy to do this.
I'm a norwegian TS who is going to marry a man, and we are planning a grad wedding party at the major hotel in Oslo. I'm currently looking for THE wedding gown. I wil be strapless and with a long train...then we will party og spend my wedding night at the suite...I'm staring to get a little nervous...I'll keep you updated and show my gown when I have bought mine.

              Guys

anyone of you know if a civil union is enough to keep a thai person in Europe? IN other words someone comes with a tourist visa and I manage to have a civil union... Is this enough to change her status to European citizen???

Yea guys. I would like to know about this also. I am from Singapore. I came to Norway on a tourist visa. My bf called some officers up today and she says I still have to apply for some sort of citizenship after the civil union.

From my understanding there are few countries that allow civil partnerships - Spain/Italy/Scandinavia/Eire and UK.

It does not give them citizenship, but they can reside and travel freely.

                    Hi to TSHanna
I'm a pre-op, and will have a civil union now...when I have had the SRS I will marry for real. My boy is Norwegian, so we do not have any problems. I will stay with him and work here in Oslo as a girl until the operation.
When will you come to Oslo, would love to meet you, both og you. Is your boyfriend from Norway...
obviously...what do you work with? what will you do in Norway.

                    Helen

nope... in Denmark we have what would be called "registered partnership"...and legally...its the same as if youre married...
youwe got the same rights...but still have to be here fore 7 years before you can get your citizenship...
and actually...some priest and churches in Denmark would hold a wedding for "gay" people with the same ritual...
all the ladyboys i know laughs when we have sex.....no matter what book they read
