My only gripe is with the drinks- nothing non-alcoholic in a can or bottle. Yeah, you can get a GLASS of water, of dubious origin, for 100 baht. Or for the same money, perhaps you'd prefer a glass of flat Coke? or the shittiest nam som you've ever tasted. Their ice is ALWAYS off flavor, too.

Besides that, though, the girls don't mob you if you've got "the look". If you like built, classic shemales, it's the place to go, but there are also some smaller versions there too.

There were times several years ago that I would leave Casanova and write up how it was the best bar in Bangkok. I always would choose the Mama-san as my guest drinker and had good times with her and the others. At times it would be very loose and sleazy and fun. Once I refused to bar fine and the mama-san sort of turned on me in the mock huffy ladyboy way, but when the music was right and Marsha was up there as the leather nun it was surreal and very different than the other bars. I never had a padded bill at Casanova and I can't say that about Obsessions where two times "extra drinks for the deck serve" were discovered on my bill.

my last visit i ordered 'vodka lipo' and got 'bicardi coke'.
at which time i realized their stressing the third syllable of "bicardi" makes the two sound quite similar. apparently. surprisingly, they refused to correct the error and told me they don't sell 'lipo' (aka 'red bull').

the flat, sugar-sweet, warm concoction was as undrinkable as their excuse was incredible. and there was no one close to "Ching" in sight, so i paid the 150baht for the sour sip and sneaked quietly out the door despite the calls to stop upstairs first.

next trip i'll stop by for a bottle of cold beer -- if they have one
or maybe just ask at the door if Ching is about...

Great thread, thanks Qwerty and everyone.  Don't get much chance to visit BKK and the LB bars, but after passing Casanova a few times I did go in for the first time a couple of years ago.  Got mobbed by about 6-8 ladies and chose the one that looked most feminine to me - she was quite small (compared to most of the others) and pretty. The rest then all dispersed and left us alone, except for one Amazon who was sat the other side of me.  Well it did not take too long for my choice (she said her name was Erica, but later changed it to Anna) to suggest we go on somewhere else (I think it was to the Penthouse? ST hotel, not the rooms above NEP) and whilst she went to get her things, the Amazon came out with the immortal lines of "you like cock? It appears I'm the unlucky one then! I had heard some bad stuff about Casa in the past, but was encouraged by these recent posts. As I have been to Obsessions, JSB etc many times without trouble....I thought all Lb bars must be the same, so last nite was my first..and last time in Casa!!! On entry I got swamped on entry and made to buy the nearest girl a drink to be allowed to sit down....(without mentioning any names)...this lb then sat with me, despite me telling her that I was not interested...and wanted to drink, relax and watch the show, (her face was practically glued to her mirror the whole time!!!).
