think it was moderated by the latherchaps guy

heard he passed away (not sure if that's true) - maybe that's why forum died?

Anyway, these days there's only 1 show in town and I think everyone knows which ones that is! (and I'm not referring to Pattaya Secrets)

Questionable girls was great. I think Yahoo killed it because some arsehole started posting very racist comments. There was also the fore runner of this forum which died under unfortunate circumstances (arseholes again) but then there is here. If you are on dial up there is no time for multiple forums, but great to know they are out there.

cool gent from California, ran that Yahoo group; still alive as far as I know, he wrote me about 6 months ago.

and yes, some asshole racist [who tried to create a ladyboy website which never took off] was being a terrible hater up there, spewing his garbage about wanting people to die and other evil and vile shit....probably the reason his crappy website never took off..... not the reason Lavender Chaps closed the group {Yahoo did that} but it certainly didn't help. That whack-job used to create multiple screen names per day [same as his schitzo personality] to try and slide in his racist and evil hatred but LC always kept them off, as well as any spams; that was indeed a good group and I met many people through there including Pig Dogg and Lefty, etc....

The fore runner of this forum never was officially 'closed', it was just merged into this masterpiece which is clearly better.

I begged and begged and begged and put up with years of crap before this forum became what it is now...

Ladies and gentlemen; this forum took a lot of hard work and dedication before it became what I wanted it to be... and we still have work to do!

There were a lot of moments when the owner of AsianTS thought it would be a good idea to scrap the whole thing... there were even more moments when that same person came up with insane ideas to keep it afloat.

Let me tell you one thing...

This whole forum is NOTHING without the work I put into it and continue to.

I've heard from plebs that have fallen by the wayside that this forum works inspite of me and NOT because of me...

NOT TRUE!

Ever since I had a say in this forum and it's future I have had a history of fights to keep it going.

This forum hasn't even started to do what I want it to yet, but you can be sure that when it gains 100% independence then there will be no other message board in the world that will have the bollocks that this place does.

This forum has ONLY been kept alive through the sheer pigheadedness and arrogance and will to fight for it from ME...

I know exactly what makes a forum worth tuning in to and luckily no one else seems to have a clue...

I've waited for too fucking long to get this shit working the way I want to simply stand by and let others suck up the credit.

There are a number of people who don't like my style... That's fucking great. You can 'not like me' all day.

Most of these twots haven't met me and those that have are a breed of jealous underachievers that don't count anyway...

In about a year there will be ONE NAME on the map and it'll be this one...

I'm getting pretty fucking tired of people who reckon that they can do this job or they can make a better forum or they can be more 'user friendly!'

It doesn't work like that.

You have to have an insight to people... and you have to like what they do and say...

We have a forum here that has well over 200,000 posts... why do you think that is?

We have threads that have been viewed over a quarter of a million times... Why is that?

It's because I've busted a gut and fought against everybody to do things my way...

 Been dealing with people like this for years, including that jealous little hater who used to rip on me on Oaktoad's message board and the dildo's who found it too hard to do an honest day's work and concluded that attempted robbery was a better idea..... jealousy is a terrible human emotion, right up there with guilt, envy and shame.

Only the perception that I was seeking favour stopped my from writing much the same thing - it didn't take long for me to twig that there was one reason & only one reason why this forum works so well, Stogie wields the carrot & the stick without fear or favour.

Benign dictatorships work far more efficiently than any democracy.

And SB loves to remind us that this place is no democracy - in other words, if you don't like the way it is around here, "fuck off".

I like a forum where I know I can expect instant justice, keeps everyone in line & dickheads are shown the door.

The forum works because it's a COMMUNITY...

The people who like it here know the rules without being read them...

THESE are the people who will keep this place afloat.

Pacman is right... We do play favorites and this is NOT a democracy.

Most people who read this will never post at all... Those that do will decide the fate of this message board. If you don't log back in here then I lose... If no one signs up for the websites that we promote then I lose...

I've NEVER banned ANYONE for having a go at me and I've NEVER stopped people posting here who simply hate me...

It's a big internet out there... If you don't like my style then you can either start your own community or join some one elses...

The number one thing about this forum is that it is led by the people who post here NOT by the people who run it.

That's always been the truth about our community and I can't think of anything that will change that in the future.

I think he has more patience than you will ever imagine.... in years past *I* was the one with the heavy finger on the Delete key, and he had to teach me moderation and allowing people to speak their minds [within reason of course].

Not an easy job, this forum seems to walk a pretty fair line between over-moderation and letting the lunatics run the asylum.

No doubt the quality of moderation and direction allows the forum to be as good as it can be.

I'm a great believer that people's good work eventually becomes evident to those who benefit from it and thus consider self-promotion rather un-attractive.

Of course, this is the real world and some people need to be told.

The two things that always annoy me on this forum are the amount of greasing that goes on and the personal vendettas that grow legs through constant rubber-necking from people who should know better. Oh, I also hate the clapping hands icon.

Those few things are minor however compared to the pleasure I get from the photos, views and trip reports posted by a mostly intelligent and amusing bunch of BM's, aggressively and humourously moderated. Keep up the good work.
