All,

I presented to my farang colleagues and lived together with my GF, Ex, for more than a year in Bangkok. The problems in my job (a famous Thai Bank) started when Thai colleagues saw me clubbing and going out in other places with my gf.

I ended up quitting my job in thailand and moving back to Europe when we now struggle to get married in order for my GF to be able to stay with me legally. It simply ruined my reputation and my career in Thailand the fact that people knew about it. In Europe will happen the same if people knew that my gf is an LB and not 100% a woman.

SAD but TRUE.... the world is not ready to accept this yet...

I think I have taken the right decision for me and my GF. Here in Europe no one knows her and so she can live a normal ordinary life like the rest of the women in this world ... (exception of kids). But I would love to be able to stay there in Bangkok... life was so much fun and the people always friendly and smiling ... Well with the exception to call me gay because I date my GF the rest was OK.

Time will probably tell ....

In my Job only few people know. This are the works mates which I know already long time. I take her one time to the company christmas dinner. I think the another people have no clue.
Ok I'm in a high position here. Finaly I dont care the gossip of the workers here.

One adwantage is we are living near Zürich here in Swiss. Here works many foreign people and the people are generaly more open minded.
For this year her finall operation is planed. She can change her papers and we can officially marry.

Finally I dont think it would have a influence in my actual Job if more people knows that I'm with a ladyboy.

I think you have to decide whether or not money is your motivating factor in life. If it is then your happiness will always take second place.

No, it doesn't apply to money alone. We need money for a living anyway, so it's unrealistic to think that you can choose the job you like if it's doesn't fill your monthly bills.

Many people (like myself) are stuck in to a job which they like it but somehow can't manage to be successful (in money and/or fame term) for whatever reason, and despite all what the 'nice' self-improvement books are writing about doing in life what you like, and all the blah blah blah.
Many more factors are entering in the equation.

I do know that there are a lot of factors that apply to most people in determining the priorities they place in their lives.

I suppose I took the self serving route and damned everything to hell apart from my own dreams.

Pleasure/responsibility/quality of life... It's balancing act...

Hopefully most of us can see a few dreams come true before it's too late.

I may now sound as the voice of malcontent, but the days when I thought satisfaction and rewarding happiness could also come by jobs I enjoyed doing it, are long gone.

Nowadays, working merely serves the purpose to bring home what it pays for the bills.

So, back to the topic - dun give a fook bout wot others ar thinkin'

Fortunately (or unfortunately) we all work in order to provide, either for things now or to save for the future.

It is totally unrealistic in the majority of cases just to throw it all away for the sake of so-called "happiness" because at the end of it, how do you know you'll be happy anyway?

Personally i am working to an end where i can sell the business and move somewhere where i can do a minimum amount of work and enjoy a stress free lifestyle. However this is still 2 or 3 years away and i wouldnt jeopardise that by telling work colleagues or anyone else about what i get up to in Thailand or elsewhere in my private life.

Yes Same here. Im much happier now with a few shekels in the bank than when i had nought.  For many guys i know in the city money is the only thing that matters and the pursuit of it is pleasure in itself.

Money cant buy you love but at least you can be miserable in comfort. IMO There is certainly no standard for happiness and Philosophers have argued what it means for the last two thousand years and still cant agree

I work and I'm employed and what I do in my off time is my business - my colleagues are aware that I have transgender friends and other than the usual banter I have had no trouble.

Interesting side effect - several quite attractive lady colleagues have indicated their interest in converting me back to the GG cause.

I never read such crapola! Money not important? What planet u from buddy? Everyone want money. Everyone protect money. Include not fucking up job for 20 yr old ladyboy. Dream on for dreams. They will never happen. But money will help u able to look for them and enjoy along way. Anyone here give up money and job for ladyboy (or lady), go to doctor, fast. You still asleep.
