Makha Bucha is tomorrow, Thursday. And I don't think Bangkok bars will be closed...but that could always change.
Saturday is the 'early' election for Senate, and (I guess) next Saturday is the 'normal' election for Senate. And I would guess Bangkok would be closed Friday night, Saturday until xxx....but TIT, who knows !!!
I need a drink just thinking about when I can drink
For those of you weren't in town for the last election booze ban, I can tell you it was indeed taken pretty seriously-- I couldn't buy alcohol at any of my local stores that usually sell to me all hours of the day and night. Many bars were not serving, but I can tell you if you are desperate O'Reilly's on Thaniya was serving alcohol in paper coffee cups. Many places on Patpong 2 as well. I don't know about Nana though, I didn't go during the ban.
Another attempt to ruin the fun of tourists who have saved up all year to come here by your friendly neighborhood Thai government.
i'll look at the bright side:
the hottest bar girls will be on the street (or on the phone) with no barfines!
or does the government consider sex to be a negative influence on electioneering as well?
All go-go bars on Walking totally closed down right at Midnight tonight... shocking really to see all the neon signs go off like that..... so we went over to B52 disco and that was still business as usual.
