Many time visiter, moving to Bangkok (at least for part of the year). Would like to meet others who share hobby. Anyone free for a beer on the 8th?

if you mean October 10, I will still be a while away from returning to the LOS.......but ol' stogie is usually into these meet-ups, especially if YOU are buying the beers!

I'd enjoy meeting some of the folks on the board as well. I'm in LOS pretty much full time these days.

I generally don't head out Sun night before the work week, but always willing to make an exeption for a good cause

We tourists blow into town pumped up as a man's man, ladies man, hansum man, man about town, and farang Bangcockians really can't keep up with our free wheeling vacation spending. In Thailand do as the Thais do....................person with higher status (more money) pays!

Yep... I'm there for a couple of Changs if I ain't paying! As I don't live in Bangkok it's a royal pain to get there, so I don't go that much anyway!

When you make $100 a week in the LOS (as I do) then 100 Baht ($2:50) for a small bottle of beer is a big chunk of change! (Especially when I can go to the supermarket and buy it for 20 Baht!)

i am staying only for about 6 days not sure if i should stick with BKK or go to Pattaya or Phuket. i am looking forward to meet guys enjoy the night life, do some shopping, i would also like to enjoy the beach so i am a bit confused.

any tips of hotels close to Nana plaza that will be ok with dressed as a woman being a LB.
i've tried Nana hotel but they are fully booked.

Hey Cherry, you DO look good for a farang ladyboy! most of the ones I see on-line are pretty scary.

Try Majestic Suites, which is 5 minutes from Nana plaza; 1600 a night. If you can pay 2400 a night I would HIGHLY recommend the Omni Towers, which is also 5 minutes from Nana plaza and every room is a beautiful suite. The recent Areeya pics were taken there; Mickey also.

Ruamchitt Plaza is about 10 minutes away and is the least expensive at 1000 per night; rooftop pool and decent rooms. in case you don't know the conversion; 1000B is about 25 bucks; 1600 is 40 and 2400 is about 60.

all 3 can be found ins a google search and booked on-line or over the fone

Hi Cherry,

I mailed you, but just in case it did not go through, the places Jai Dee mentions are a nice step up from the Nana and Dynasty. Good choices.

Stewart's link above is the same Dynasty that I wrote about. Not so nice, but does the trick if need be.

As for the decision about where to go, and I say this having lived here in Bangkok for a long time, choose Phuket. The LB scene is active, the beaches nice, and the general feel much more relaxed.

Of course, you may want to try Bangkok for a few days to see some sights (both night and day), but Phuket is oh so nice by comparison.

Anyhow, I guess I would try to not lock yourself into a whole weeks reservations. Maybe reserve the first night or two for Bangkok and then see what happens? Who knows where you may end up.

Thoughts anyone?

Not sure about the weather these days in Phuket as it is raining near daily in Bangkok, but I have had fun down there even in rainy season. Patong is the beach for nightlife.
