Hey Oz, Sure I'm not travelling halfway around the world for music.  And I wouldn't make as many trips as I do for just GGs.

But music that I like makes a big difference to me.  I was at Sally's in Jomtien and all of sudden Run Run Run by Jo Jo Gunne came on.  This is quite an obscure song but a personal favorite of mine.  I had not heard this song in years. It was a rush to be sitting in a ladyboy bar and hear this song.  If when I first heard this song back at school, years ago, if you had asked me what's the chance that years later I'd be sitting in a bar in Thailand listening to this song and deciding which girls dick I would smoke tonight, I'd tell you that you were smoking too much weed man, a chick with a dick you crazy!

of course this is a valid point, Oz......we are there to meet girls and not listen to the tunes. BUT.... don't you think these bars would have people hanging around longer if it didn't sound like a jet airplane taking off in there at 120 decibals of horrible music? I mean, I would happily stay in Obsessions or KC3 for a few hours if they played something I could decipher and I could actually converse with the girls; the volume and type of music they play now drives me out of there within a few minutes every time.

and that is why, whenever a group of us meets, it's always at a quiet beer bar that plays rock or top 40 where we can converse and have fun BEFORE we go in to the bars to get blasted by that shit. Seems to me like if the go-go's did the same thing we would hang around longer, and they would make more green.
