To help promote this, I think I'll make a CD of tunes and give it to the DJ

Sepultura, Soulfly, Jawbreaker, Rancid, Deftones, System of a Down, Butthole Surfers, Korn, Minor Threat, Discharge, and anything else fast and heavy

I often wonder just WHO exactly are they playing that techno crap for anyway?? Most customers are in their mid 30's to mid 60's and could give a shit about that nonsensical garbage, and the girls......who cares; they are going to do that Robert Palmer {Rip} 'addicted to love' dance for 6 hours a night regardless of what's on the turntable.

I have always said that if I ever were to open a beer bar in Thailand [please stop me if I am doing this Snick], it would feature good ol' american [and british] rock and roll; it would be the only bar on the fookin' street playing something different and maybe people would actually, you know, stay around for a while? ever walked down soi 7 in Pattaya where the flipper lodge is?? FUCKING NIGHTMARE of 30 beer bars competing with who can play the loudest Madonna or Brittney Spears garbage at full volume. throw in a bar with some decent tunes that people can converse over and I would think you would have a winner.

stickman once mentioned that the techno is for the girls, that they dance kinda lame to the music we like, but got all excited at the end of the night when the DJ switched to thai techno.

But if the techno is bad, and the customers are driven out, who cares what the girls like.

I think ZZ top play the best music for the go go girls.
8 Years back i used to go to Goldfinger Bar just along from KC3(before i even new about LB scene)when it was a Rocking + Rolling joint with the big 12 x TV screens . They used to play the Live concerts Videos from Deep Purple, Gary Moore, This Lizzy plus normal Rock Music all night. It used to be packed with mainly American Biker types and a other Heavy Metal Heads . Shame it went down the pan.

Fitting, I think, I should add my initial 2 cents here although mosty in regards to another topic mentioned too frequently.
Look at y'all's playlists!  Where's the Donna Summer?  The show tunes?  The house music, progressive trance, even the electroclash?
Not on these lists.  So what does that mean?  Ain't no girly men on this site.  Hopefully this can put an end
 to the gai/strayt/biy discussions.  
Except I haven't seen the playlist for the guy with the banana.

Anyway talking about SpeedPunk , there a fantastic Hardcore
band in New York called "Most Precious Blood ",sounding like Heavy Metal Punk with dark morbid lyrics. This type of stuff i could listen to all night but the problem is that it may not suit the Go Go Bars .

A fews years back we used to take our own stuff into KC3 and give the DJ 50  bahts to play it. It must be desperate when it gets to this stage.

Anyway im back in KC3 in 4 weeks time so i hope the DJs had a few words from Snick.

Not sure what all the fuss is? I am definitely not there to listen to the music. I can listen to music I like anywhere but I can see hot sexy LB's anywhere.

Also like anything you will not please everyone with the music selection and even age is does not necessarily determine what music you listen. I like all different types of music and yes even some of the techno stuff.

Get your priorities straight guys.
