got a letter from Salma recently......she is doing OK and it was nice to hear from her. Too bad that the site was yanked off-line by the PI government because we miss her contributions on the forum here, as well as Amore, who was posting for a while also. We will have to let them know that they can still see forum through the back-door entrance and that they won't have to pull up the main site to chat here.

The site will go down in Thailand soon, also.....Stogie and Snick will have to help us walk through how the guys in Thailand can still get us with a proxy server. It's surprising that the Thai censors haven't gotten to us yet; all our competitors are closed down there and it's just a matter of time for this site.

I miss winkler girl posting here....she has a great attitude

only one cafe here in Cebu is able to get into AsianTS without any trouble and i try to visit the cafe as often as I can..poor me...but anyway the problem with proxy servers is that the downloading of the sites become slower because you are using a proxy server right?
(or am I mistaken with this assumption dear Stogie???)

Should not be noticably slower if you are on a broadband link. There is a little overhead on proxying the http request but it is minimal.
