for any of you people who can never make it to LA, don't sweat it, you ain't missing shit. There is one drag bar in LA now, and it's in Hollywood, called the 7969 club because of its address on Santa Monica blvd. Even this place only has shemales 2 nights a week, friday and monday.
went there 2 weeks ago on both nights. the friday crowd had some hotties but if you approach them and actually chat and want to take them home you had better have 250$ or more. I did see a few, maybe 4 or 5, that were just there having fun and didn't appear to be hookers out of about 40-50 total. 2 girls from this site were in there that night, Lilly Lee and Saigon Lee, both Vietnamese transplants who now live in the LA area.
if Friday was depressing, Monday was a downright comedy. This must be drag night because most of the 'girls' in there looked like stogie bear with a wig on [not a pretty site for those of you that haven't met the bloke]. Monday there were about 30 crossdressers, with about 4 or 5 decent, passable TS mixed in. I assume the CD crowd wasn't looking for cash because no one would buy out those men; I assume they were just there dancing. I talked to ONE girl that night because she was Asian; turns out her name was Penny and from Bangkok. we chatted briefly, money never came up but I am sure she wasn't in there for fun but for business so I left her alone. 10 minutes some clown 15 years older than me was taking her out so my assumption was right.
sucky place.....no reason to ever go back there.....you Angeleno's that may be reading this and think it's a good place and have never been to Thailand, save your pennies and get your asses to Bangkok; you won't even BELIEVE how good Nana plaza is compared to this nonsense.
