Wow over at Pattayatalk they are using an extremely outdated version of the PHP Invision Power Board.

Who's ever running this forum better upgrade fast before a hacker "Edits" the whole board into garbage. It's full of security holes and an easy as hell target. I'm surprised no ones hit it yet.

The members only area allows a more open discussion on Pattaya. It is not subject to the same restrictions and censorship as the main site. It is a little more adult orientated.
Please understand that this is NOT a porn site. If you are looking for porn you will be disappointed. Save yourself and the Webmaster some time and don't apply. Membership is restricted to people over 18 years of age who do not reside in Thailand. It is free.

Here's what you need to do to get in . . . . . .

Step 1
Before you apply for membership you must register for the Open Forum. Go to the Pattaya Talk Forum by clicking here.

Click on Register at the top of the forum. You will be prompted to supply an email address (any real one will do), User Name and password. You will receive an email back with a link to confirm your registration. Click on the link provided in this email and you will be registered.

As soon as you are registered you can look around and post on all the Open Forums.

Now you can apply for membership which will allow you to access the Members Site and the Member's Forums.

Step 2

1) Send an email to [email protected], from an email address that is outside of Thailand.

Web based generic addresses such as hotmail, yahoo, icq, altavista, mail.com, excite etc. will not be accepted.

2) State clearly in the email, what your registered User Name is, from when you registered for the Open Forums. Please write it exactly as you registered including UPPER and lower case letters.

3) Write a short explanation of why you would like to join the Member's Site.

That's it. Within a few days you will get an email confirming your membership and explaining how to access the site.

There is a sample email below to guide you through the process

I think the images are gonna be a tad more interesting if the giant white lettering is placed in a more inconspicuous place on the picture, matey! On her head seems a bit harsh!

read it.

Frankly, Ikonboard is one of the worst packages I've seen in 20 years of computer consulting. Is it shareware?

Ikonboard is a free program. We have looked at pay options and some of them were very snazzy and had all kinds of nifty features.

I especially like the one where you can post multiple pics on one post from your hard drive and leave thumbs for the members to click on.

In the end we settled for this as it is secure, easy for members to use and most of all - I understand it!

Bam is quite right to say that the Invsion board that Pattaya Chat uses is full of holes. Anyone with a reasanable knowledge of forums and computers will be able to do anything they want with that forum. Let's hope they don't make any enemies (like Bam!)

Once done please refund, pro-rated, the year in advance subscription fee I paid and cancel the membership in Asian-TS. com.  Life is too short to have to deal with this crap.

BTW, I've spent the last hour or so on the Ikonboard web site reading the bug reports......good thing you don't have to pay for it.
One more thing, you better check bam's ID card and make sure he is old enough to be on an adult site. He doesn't act like it.

Well, now that you mention it, you can delete you own messages on others boards, but an administrator has to delete an entire topic.
