Hoping to be in BKK around 9th/10th August for a couple of days and then down to Phuket for 2 weeks.

Have contacted Vicky and hope to meet up with her some afternoon and spend the afternoon, night and morning with her ( so thats very long time I guess..).

Im thinking 2500 plus 500 tip for meeting her from lunchtime day 1 through to lunch time day 2...Is that OK...I dont give a shit if 5000 is the right number I just dont want to pay 5000 and then I am pushing the price up for everyone ( including myself) next time....?

Government figures 2006:
Minimum daily wage for bangkok is 184 baht.  

Average family income for Bkk, which is at least 3-4 time higher than the provinces is aprox 20,000 baht.    Keep in mind how many people usually live in a household.

You can go to the web link for the government figures, but bear in mind the figures shown for white collar workers mainly apply to degreed people with good english skills.

Fortunately there are skilled people in Bkk who earn a good salary. You will find many people with bachelors who start on between 6-8,000 baht

No response for question #2 as I've never been with her, but as for question #1, I would say that 2,500 baht plus a tip (depending on her level of service) is a fair amount. If she pushes for a little more, I'd probably give it to her without a quibble, but anything over $3k, unless something fucking magical happened would be unreasonable in my mind. Hope this helps.

Don't forget the barfine of 600 baht. Are you paying that on top, or just forgotten it? If you have forgotten, then she may have to pay that so you are really only giving her 1900 long time

Winston, it seems that all the 'entry level positions' from the link you posted have wages of around $13k to $25k baht/month. As mentioned, these are entry level positions likely for new graduates. I'd tend to believe that the average household income for Thais, especially in BKK, to be significantly higher than even say $10-$25k/baht, especially if there are multiple wage-earners in the family.

Issan labourers on many of the building sites get screwed for less than the 184 baht minimum daily wage.

20,000- 25,000 bhat average monthly income in bkk per household was not calculated by me. another government stat.

I know many middle management purchasing, production planners, production suprevisors, etc with degrees, speak english, or japanese who work for mutlinationals, whose 25 k per month includes overtime.

Most have been with companies 7-15 years to get to that level.

Working five day shifts including a lot of overtime, the best multinationals pay process workers about 8-9k

You are confusing average incomes with minimum incomes. To say the average Thai earns 5K a month is rubbish and way off the mark.

The average farm worker may earn 5K a month, true. Having taught graduate students for years, I can say that not on would dream of working for less that 15K and most people who are in the work force for a couple of years are making a lot more.

To suggest that prostitutes like Vicky would be happy with a certain amount of money because a farmer makes a lot less is simply daft!

average household income in BKK is 40,000b as of 3 years ago; not sure now (NESDB).

Does not include immigrant workforce presumably; is Bangkokians.

There are 1m people and 300,000 households earning 70,000b or more in 2003; probably a few more now; in BKK (NESDB).

I know of not one graduate from a decent uni that would consider any non govt job for less than about 12k; and more likely less than about 15k. Of the 500 staff working at my current job, there would be maybe 4 I can think of that earn, maybe, less than 8,000b a month. None of the maids earn less than that; the messenger earns about 10k (although he has to pay for his bike, so I guess he is earning under 8k); the guards all earn more than that....and we have problems hiring on these prices!

Don't believe the rubbish; there are a lot of Thai people keeping Siam Paragon etc full and spending their money.

Outside of BKK though, lots and lots of poor people, many making far less than the minimum wage. Minimum wage here (and most other countries) is meaningless.

For Vicki, minimum wage comparison is pointless; you wouldnt expect Warren Buffet to earn min. wage with his skills, why should you expect her to?

Sorry that I (and some others) hijacked your thread!

You are asking the impossible if you want us to nail down a good rate for some good lovin'!

Vicky may be ecstatic to go with you for a week for 10K but if she's feeling poor or greedy she may be pissed that she's not getting at least 30K!

You need to get this sorted with the object of your desires BEFORE you do any long term planning!

I would suggest that you spend TWO nights with her and tell her (lie or whatever) that you are either going to Pattaya/leaving for home/planning to commit suicide.

By this time you'll have clearer understanding of her requirements.

Asking us to speak for her is crazy and even thinking that we can come up with a ball park figure is wishful thinking at best!

If money isn't an issue then offer her 3K a day PLUS bar fine amd 20K for the week! This is a fair price and it's easy money for her and easy sex for you!

The more you pay - the better the sex! Do you really think that 500 Baht streetwalkers are gonna pull out all the stops? They won't, but Vicky will - as long as you treat her well in return!

I know girls that will stay with you for less and I know some more that won't even give up the prospect of an 8K night to even talk to you!
