meeting non-pros

Hey I'm always on the lookout to meet a nice non-pro lb. Do you guys know if I'll find more of them at straight bars or gay bars around Bangkok? I know in a sense lbs are really straight women, but I think lots of their Thai bfs are gay, so maybe I should hunt in the gay part of town? Feel a bit odd about hanging out in gay bars, but hell why not if there are a few cute lbs around.

It's highly unlikely you will find a non-pro ladyboy in any bar  

You are far better off looking around perfume counters in the big department stores and hair salons.

The other way is to just wander around MBK on a Saturday or Sunday  -  you will find 1 or 2 on nearly every floor just out shopping.

Another place to go hunting is in discos.

Herself and I did see 2 working as receptionists in two different hotels in Chiang Mai a few months ago.

The other day ate lunch at a very nice Thai restaurant at the end of Soi 11...and there was a cute little femboy waitress...

They're out there...I see them every day and I'm not looking...it's hard to tell which ones are pros and which are not though...just go look and ask...

Yeah I see them all around, just wondering where they like to go out at night. Not that into hitting on them at work. I'm a barhound myself so I figure I might as well chat up some cute lbs instead of the old British couples I usually end up talking to all night. The convival atmosphere and massive alcohol consumption of a good pub is my preferred hunting grounds.

You won't find nice 'non working' lbs hanging out at bars. Especially bars infested with farangs! Road Runner mentioned 'the' girl at MBK and you've seen her? Hmmm... There are at least 100 working there.

Stick to the bars and the tramps that frequent them, mate. You may find a lot of semi-pros at the clubs and discos, but like RR says... to find a nice girl you have to go shopping! (Or teach English at a university!)

Just out of interest are you looking for a girlfriend or just a 'pure' shag? I don't imagine that your love of bars and that scene is going to endear you to a nice girl.

There are loads of non workers on sanook.com, but getting to meet them and then shag them will take much more work than i'm prepared to do in a holiday.

It will be easier for you as you live there, but why bother? having a full time GF is a lot harder to hide from a spouse than a quick fling at Nana or Guess.

LOL sorry I'm not trying to ruin the forum...

Anyway yeah there are tons of lbs at MBK but there is one gorgeous one in the cell phone section that I assumed the other poster must have been referring to. Actually best collection of lbs I saw at MBK was one day, on the 4th or 5th floor there were 5 or 6 hotties at a furniture store, lounging on the couches. Must have been friends with a worker there, haven't seen them since. But every time I'm there I look for them.

My OP wasn't really intended at finding a girl for either a shag or a long-term thing... just a little fun conversation at the bar. The real point is that I get tired of hanging out with the 50 yr old farang tourist couples at O'Reily's and Irish Xchange... might as well enjoy my nightly drinks at a place where I can chat up people I'm attracted to, without paying the exorbitant prices at a pro bar.

I'm sure you're right, I probably won't find many 'nice' ones out at farang bars, but I assumed everyone likes to go out for a pint, even non-pro lbs. I've certainly met quite a few nice non-pro GGs at those places.

Again I'm sure you're right SB I could find some with a gig at a uni... I pass Thammmasat every day and have seen some lookers there.

For what I've seen and personally experienced, most non-working LBs are kind of shy when going out, since they acknoledge their sistuation quite well, and people around spot them easily, laugh, say (not always nice) things about them with their mouth covered or simply bluntly.
So, except for some LBs who do not really care about what others think and like instead to show themselves, most will be quite careful when going out with you and you'll often feel some sort of "fugitive" mode like they are running from something/somebody.
Also, most non-working LBs happens to be very regular looking and not the stunners you find in bars, surprised?
Well..perhaps they don't need to attract dozens of men to make their living...

from my personal experience NON-PROs do not usually have a lot of money to go out soooo do not expect to find them in places like RCA or the Bed Supper club which are quite expensive for average Thais. Do not expect them to be neither in Bars unless they are small neighborhood bars for the same reason as above. Finally do not expect them to find them in straight places, they try to avoid attention of people and thus they try to avoid public places where they can publicly called "kathoeys" or Gays...etc

The right places to find them is to walk through malls, shopping centers and other "normal" places where girls like to go. As I have correctly read in a the same discussion above, YES, MBK, Siam Paragon, etc are the places where daily hundreds of Non Pro Lbs will go to spend their time, see things and or buy things. Many other places that farangs do not go too... but there is the chance!!! You have to go out and walk around the cities of Siam in order to find those places.

In conclusion... do not expect them to find them dressed and makeup in famous places or bars. You would rather see them in the morning buying vegetables in a small street market or working as salespersons and waitresses... go look for them .

There is another reason that you are not likely to find them in bars so much which was pointed out to me.
That is that 'Nice' Buddhist girls don't drink - or rather it's frowned upon.

OK the younger Thai's (25 and under) don't pay much attention to this attitude but the undercurrent of it is still there.
