the difference between working and none-working LB
A few additional thoughts, in the light of my interpretation of Costassg€™s comments on Barfines:
I think we all fully appreciate that there is a cost implication in any relationship.
If anyone thinks relationships don€™t carry a financial cost, then they are not living on this (or an other) planet.
A wife costs - and a divorce can cost more than living with her
A child (one€™s own) costs to rear him/her
A dog costs (collars, leashes, food, vets)
A girl-friend costs (dinners, theatres, hotels, petrol)
A cow costs, (hay, water,) - but OK you can eat it in the end and there is a dividend by way of milk
So we all know what the bar-fine is and yes, relationships cost more than a short time session or a one-night stand.
I€™ve €œbutterflied€ with the best of them €“ and, over many decades, I€™ve had plenty of one-night-stands on both an amateur and a p4p basis.
In my twenties and thirties I could not understand p4p. All I knew is that I felt I could have any woman I wanted whenever I walked into any room, anywhere.
At my age I walk into a room and although I might physically take up space, I might as well be invisible. I am not a physically attractive proposition to anyone of any sex unless I start picking my teeth with a Centurion Black Card, and even then I might have difficulty without a €œfollow-spotlight€ shining on the card! I am yesterday€™s man and the only action likely to come my way of the type to which I am attracted, is on a p4p basis.
That said, the question raised was about whether on can have a relationship with a Ladyboy, and I was attempting to give an answer based on experience.
I have also had relationships with a wife, with children, with girl-friends, with dogs (the four-legged barking canine variety), bank managers, business partners, etc.
Truthfully, the best and longest relationship I have had has been with myself and the only thing that has ever bored me is my right hand (which I have also used for writing cheques).
My next best relationship was with a ladyboy and, before anyone makes the point, had she lived another decade or so and was a 40 year old ladyboy, would I look on the relationship the same way? €“ I am afraid I could not answer that hypothetical question. In my heart of hearts, sadly, I expect I would have moved on.
I applaud your posts thegame925! You have really been very honest with your intial and followup posts.
It is a fantasy of many of the posters on the forum to have a longterm relationship with an lb, and preferably a non-bar/escort one. Your experience has given us a glimpse into what the possibilities may be.
You obviously cared about your first long term lb partner and I am not so sure that you would be so quick to wander after 9 years of a loving relationship.
Thanks is not enough for the experiences you have shared, and may your dream of finding another long term partner come true!
I would hope to have the honour of buying you a drink some day!
Apart from being very articulate when describing your life and LB's what strikes me is the honesty and understanding you have of yourself and those around you.
I have felt all the same emotions at difference points in my life but you have the courage and conviction to go out and do it instead of talk about it and pretend. That my friend is the difference between you and the masses.
(lostinlos @ Dec. 23 2006,14:07) Mr. 925, you are my hero.
Yes, I would love to have the honor of buying you a drink someday too. I guess I am in a long line though.
He commited himself to a relationship for 9 years and that makes him a hero in your eyes? Jesus mate get a fucking grip
He's initial post was informative and very articulate, but heroic status I think not, plenty of guys out there have commited themselves, the sexuality or gender is irrelavant
It's never okay for men to cry! You know who cries? Girls. And little babies. And little baby girls.
OK, the positive side of non working girls. I know three ladyboys that live as full time girls that have their own form of business. The first runs a music school and the students are from wealthy families. How do I know ......cos I never got taken or picked up from school in such noble carriages. One of the students was the runner up in a junior TV talent show there last April.
The second runs a successful import- export business. How do I know its successful ....because she picked me up in Toyota 4x4 that most of us can only dream of and she spends most of her time doing what she wants to.
The third is a designer. She offers her designs to a range of manufacturers. I dont know just how successful she is but her house is huge and Im sure she doesnt keep the landscape garden looking like that herself.
Needless to say all these girls are well educated and from middle class families which has made life easier for them. I dont think any ladyboys would work the streets out of choice if they had uni degrees and wealthy families. I personally enjoy the company of both working and non working girls and respect them whatever their backgrounds. And I really dont get upset when the 'Grandma dies yet again' and teelak needs to buy a wreath!
Regards LBA
(thegame925 @ Dec. 23 2006,19:58) I personally concur with Mr Smith - it ain't heroic!
I never intended to portray anything other than a relationship with an LB is no different than a relationship with anybody, anyone, anything.
All relationships need work on both sides.
All a relationship really needs is commitment by both parties.
Man it's a figure of speech ... don't break my b*** for it ..
Seriousely, I think Mr. 925 is also very lucky. I never had the chance to apply my "heroic" acts.
(lostinlos @ Dec. 06 2006,13:48) Can we start some discussions on this? Are they really worthy targets for a fellow who want a long term relationship?
What constitutes a "long-term" relationship? Do you want to live in Thailand? Do you want to bring home a LB to live with you? Do you want to have a LB available to satisfy your needs on your visits to Thailand?
Living in Thailand full-time, year-round requires that you have a visa or a PR (Permanent Residence) book. To get a visa to live here you need to meet certain requirements. There are many possibilities but you need to sort those out and find the one that works for you.
With a Thai GG you could easily marry her, and get a marriage (Non-Immigrant O) visa and live in Thailand. Or you could get a fiance visa and take her back to your country to marry and live there.
With a LB your options are limited. You can't get an O visa (unless you marry her sister/mother/grandmother, don't laugh it's been done). Taking a LB back to your home country may be possible, for a limited time.
A close friend, from Canada, has been living here for 3+ years with a LB. He is 42, she is 24. They are very happy. She graduated from college here, and works in some sort of architectural/interior design firm as a junior designer. He works as a math/science teacher so has a work permit and non-imm. B visa. He makes 55,000 baht per month, she makes ~ 20,000 baht per month when you add in bonuses and OT. She is, and wants to stay, a pre-op. I suspect that there are a few hundred of these type of relationships in Thailand.
Can you provide more detail as to what you are looking for?
I live with an ex-working girl, May, now almost 2 years going, pre-op. We have a fine relationship, and what I can say is that any problems we have, have nothing to do with her being a LB. They are just normal relationship ups and downs.
But as many people said, if you don't live here, just forget LTR. Just as they wouldn't work for if you live in the US and your girl lives in Europe, they won't work for a LB in Thaialand.
For non-working girls, I know quite a few. My good friend Yuyi works as an operator for TOPs, making 6K per month, from which she pays her rent, TV, phone, electricity, and sends a few baht home to mom each month. She is really struggling, and I give her donations for the buffalo once in a while, but I know from what I've seen of her life, is ain't easy. She has never asked me for anything by the way.
Another girl is Lek, whom I met last week at Siam Paragon. She works 6 days per week, 12 hours per day, at one of the jewellry booths on the bottom floor, for I think about 7K baht. I took her and her girlfriend out. She is incredibly shy, would never dream of sex in the first few dates, and was blushing pretty much the whole night, just sitting eating dinner with me.
In short, girls outside bar life are just normal girls. It is incorrect to think of them as someone having unusual characteristics. If I might say, and I don't if this is true, my only observation is that LBs have a higher sex drive; but aside from that, everything is pretty much the charactersitics of a young girl.
The only difference in Thailand, and this has nothing to do with LBs, is that the will to survive financially tends to dominate over love, meaning many girls (or LBs) will live with someone if they "take care" of them (and their family), even if there aren't a billion love sparks going off all the time.
